Jeremy Beadle, the UK comedian famous for his hidden camera shows and the home video show You've Been Framed, died of pneumonia earler this morning.
I was one of the people in the UK who didn't find him unutterably annoying, and I enjoyed watching his shows and the things he got up to. He will be sadly missed.
RIP Jeremy

Just paid for another years membership for Gav and myself. I'm seriously considering a lifetime membership, but i'd need to have the spare £75 first - or £150 if Gav wants one too.
Spoke to the lovely Lisa (ThEsInEaTeR) earlier, and she told me she's coming to my neck of the woods with her hubs in either march or may to go camping. With any luck Gav and I will be able to go with them and give my mahoosive tent an airing. I'm really looking forward to finally meeting Lisa, I just know we'll get on great.
At a loose end for the next hour, waiting until midnioght when my wages will go in so we can go to the 24hr Asda for some shopping. It'll save going tomorrow when Gav is knackered from training. So thats why i'm just rambling on about nothing in particular.

I is getting me one of these!

I've been needing a new phone for ages, and I wanted an mp3 player one cos we're allowed them at work, so I ordered this today. Hopefully should arrive tomorrow. And bonus - it's in the family colours as well!
I'm seriously getting sick of this...

Well, once again my car has let me down. We'd had a wrestling show last night and I was meant to drive Terry's lighting rig back in the cavalier along with Terry, Sam and Taz, but when I went to drive the cav round to the front doors to load up...nothing. Zilch. Zip. Nada.
It was turning over, but nothing else. No dashboard lights. I know it was low on fuel but the electrics should still have worked. Gav changed the fuel pump in the hope that it was the problem, but no. He's now worried that it's the wiring loom that's gone, which essentially means the car is royally fucked.
We've left it in the car park at the show overnight, and we're gonna go back today to see if he can fix it, or get the RAC to tow it back if not. But i'm fully expecting to have to scrap it.
Unfortunately, I can't afford to get another car for at least a week, so how the hell i'm gonna get to work - or anywhere else - all next week is beyond me, as I can't afford a bus, it's too far to walk, and i'm the only one in our clique who drives.
The one small mercy is that I can cash in the road tax and get about £70 back from that...
Roll on April, with my £700 bonus. The estate car will finally be mine.

Why is that when i'm on my own in the flat, I always end up with the songs from various musicals on?
So far i've done Grease, Grease 2 and Rocky Horror. Now I think a little Hairspray is in order, then perhaps some Little Shop of Horrors...
Sometimes I think i'm weird...
...I wish I could get hold of the original songs from Annie...

My car got broken into today! Oh what fun!
I got back form my lunchbreak to discover one of the receptionists at the front desk had called up for me. I went down to find out what was up, and they informed me of the break in.
The bastards had kicked the front driver window in, ripped off the front of the steering wheel - apparently to disable the steering lock - taken off the ignition casing, scattered my socket set all over the gravel outside, and gotten mud all over my seats.
From the looks of it they've been trying to start the car, looked for tools to do it, and gotten disturbed and legged it.
Ironically, they could have started it with a screwdriver, which I had in the boot (trunk to our american friends). They didn't bother looking in there though.
Amazingly nothing was taken, which is fortunate because I had some rather expensive bits of equipment in the boot!
The pisser is that I have to drive for an hour and a half tomorrow on a dual carriageway with a sheet of plastic flapping in my ears. Gav's trying to patch up the rather large hole where the window was, but as we don't have any sheet plastic we're having to use clear wrapping plastic which is kinda hard to see out of!
If I ever get my hands on the bastards that did this they won't know what hit them. I may not have been wrestling for a while but I can still do a powerslam on the fuckers!

Went to the doctors this morning about this sore throat i've had since xmas day...turns out it's bloody strep throat! I thought only kids got that...
So i've been told to keep warm, drink plenty fluids and take erythromycin for the next three days and rest up, so I'm not in work today. Which means I can't get my 'A-Z of Car Insurance' article done...and after I worked it all out last night! :(

I should really be heading off to work, but i'm still waiting for Gav to get up. He's having to take me to work today cos he needs the car. I can't wait until we get this fiesta in two weeks, then we'll have one each!
I should go to work now without him to teach him a lesson...
It's a good job i'm on flexitime, I can start work as late as 10am. Problem is, because I've gotta take a half-day holiday soon, I really need to build up the flexitime. I can't afford to waste it. I'd rather build it up in the morning because then I can leave work earlier when my back starts playing up.
I hope the clicking of the keys will get Gav up in curiosity as to what i'm typing...but so far it's not worked. Better go check on him...
I don't believe it. He'd fallen asleep again!
Right...time to bring in the heavy artillery! Or rather, bring out...I'll flash em until he gets out of bed to grab them...
Happy New Year
