Such a pretty boy, but amongst all that prettiness, he doesn't understand. so fragile. just a brittle frame. translucent, as he stood by the window. she hovers behind, unwilling to break him further.
"You never told me why."
She waits for more.
"I don't understand. how can you think it's right for you when it's hurt you so much?"
He's not done.
"I walked away from you, so you'd never walk away from me. I couldn't imagine the hurt I gave you."
Veins on his clenched wrists look so cold . as she stays quiet, she examined his profile. how can something so painstakingly beautiful look so pained at the same time?
"I was only in pain because you were."
He flinched, and the falling sun cast shadows from his lashes to his sunken cheeks.
"I can deal with the end of the world, the fall of civilization, the collapse of the Superpowers of the world, but I can not deal with the fall of you."
A tiny crystalline drop raced towards the floor She lost sight of his being for a second. She needs to hold on.
"You owe me an apology."
His back tensed. She knew he was poised for the worst. And his veins are still cold.
"You need to apologize for removing yourself from me."
Wrenched from the window sill, he holds her face (with glass-like hands).
"If there were any way for me to show that I'm sorry - no matter the price, I would pay it."
Twisted features of an angelic face, faded with the seconds that passed them by.
"Will you always be here?"
"As long as you want me to be."
"I'll always want you to be."
And as he looks at her, he knows he was the one who made her bleed, but also the one who stitched her up.

Interesting. I like the use of words here, and the way the conversation bounces from each character.
