Tonight I want to take a break from ranting the government as I am in a decent mood and want to rant about something else. I am watching some reruns of Ghost Hunters waiting for the new season premier and it got me to thinking.

I believe in the paranormal, but if I had to make a decision based upon this show then I would definitely be a nonbeliever.

Watching the show I can see very clearly in my mind's eye that these people are running around in the dark in these buildings and just calling out at odd intervals "Oh my God did you see that?", "Shhh!!! Did you hear that?", or "Oh sh*t something just touched me!" I am not saying that they are pulling a hoax, but just that it would be very simple for them to do so. All of their electronic devices could easily be "fixed" and triggered whenever they like. To make matters even more suspicious they are always playing a lot of spooky background music/sound effects and doing odd graphical effects that mask any evidence from the audience at home or maybe makes it easier to falsify evidence.

Personally knowing that the so called paranormal is indeed real it makes me real suspicious that they use the music and or sound effects and the graphical effects. If they are really finding evidence of paranormal activities then why do they feel the need to spice up the broadcast with special effects? Do they think that whatever evidence they have found is not interesting enough to keep our interest or could it be that they are merely people engaging in the multi-billion dollar business of providing entertaining fiction for the masses?

If they want to convince me; then they need to stop obscuring the reality with effects. I want to hear what they hear and see what they see.....I am not amused with the special effects. I don't know maybe I am being unjustly harsh, but there is another thing that is bothering me a little bit.

I am currently watching the first investigation without Grant (the new episode tonight) and am typing this out during the commercial breaks (sorry if it is a little bit disjointed tonight). I have noticed that as soon as Grant is gone things seem to have amped up exponentially.

In short though I can honestly believe that these things they report could really be happening I am finding a lot of doubt due to how they present the show. Honestly I hope that the incidents they report are real; maybe I am more than a little bit insane. I am going to watch the credits on this episode and really hope that I don't see Wes Cravens name or that of any other well known horror king or queen.
