(It's been a while, hasn't it? Well I am trying now to get back to where we left off, so here goes)



The miles seem to dwindle by and my heartaches inside my chest.

"I'm such a fucking pessimist"

But all the different horrible scenarios keep playing themselves out inside my head......me reaching his house and finding him and his family slaughtered....or worse! They've become "those things" and I'm forced to kill them....god I hope not.

My chest hurts more now but I've gotta take this one step at a time and just concentrate on my driving.

Something in the road ahead....I'm squinting to make it out, but it's too far.....so I turn on my high beams.

Holy fucking shit.....

A mob of zombies.....spanning more than the width of the highway and christ knows how deep....maybe a half mile away.

Hmmmm....perhaps I can just ram through them with my car....but if I fail, I'm dead for sure. There must be hundreds of those things just waiting for me. I slow down and stop the car, no sense moving any further towards that road block.

Think Leah, think! There's gotta be something I can use to get through them, there's no way around.

And like a brick wall it hits me.

"I need a truck."

I turn the car around and slowly drive back, scanning the sides of the road.

Up ahead on my right, there it is!

I carefully turn off the car and take another good look around before jumping out and running to the driver's side. And there like a magic charm dangling from the ignition are the keys

"Hell yeah!"
