The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

Much “criticism” is targeted by some to fictional vampire shows. However, watching The Vampire Diaries, I realized that what is conveyed by the show's plot development, is a metaphorical portrayal of what is of the Highest attainment for a vampire.



For instance, to give one example, the coffins portrayed.



Is a direct correlation to initiation. That is to say, the vampyre leaves behind the traits of a humanity that he/she never possessed.

The coffin and arising is to me a visualisation of birth to a life or consciousness. I see iy as birth or reincarnation from one life, being mundane to a new life, more fulfilled.
