Made my Fairy Herb garden. :) Started with this basket type thing a customer gave me years ago. I always was thinking I would use it for seasonal decorations, as it is on legs that brings it about 4 feet off the floor.
Burlap for the base, some dirt, herbs, sticks, rocks and plastic milk jug later and you have this-
The house is made from a plastic gallon milk jug. I used hot glue to add bark, rocks, sticks, moss, and about anything I want to. The rock made the chimney, which is the handle of the jug. I cut windows out of the jug and let my imagination run wild.
Then I used some fairy items I had for a while, even a frog and a butterfly. I made a dinning room set and chair/ stool from sticks and glue. Bark made for some more sitting areas, with a fence made from sticks and twine.
The herbs I used are basil, rosemary and thyme. Those are the three I use most for cooking so if I was going to spend money on 'flowers' I picked ones I can use. And a small amount of moss for the green puff of color.
Plans are to leave them in the fall, die out. Halloween/ Fall. Winter maybe some kind of fake snow? We will see.
