So a few months ago I was doing a delivery to a area airport 100 miles away on a rainy cold Sunday. This was half way to the location I had found a few months before that was an old farm with some old homes as we delivered to a expanding apartment complex. No plans for the day I drove on up to see if the place was still standing. It was. And after a few hours nap in the car as I waited for the sun to come up- I got out to a rainy mist, thinking this was going to be a waste of fuel and time.
I love barns, old wooden ones. The play of light and dark they bring to photos make my inner artist happy. Hope you enjoy these. :) I was happy once I got into looking at them, seeing what I was able to catch. The big barns are used for tobacco, cows had been on the farm at some point. A farm that had been a large one at it's prime. There was several small shacks that I did not feel like fighting to get into in the rain, and knowing they would hold nothing but junk.
The two houses on the farm held nothing but rotted wood floors, and trash. Toilets busted, kitchen cabinets busted. Seemed to be a hang out for kids for a few years, and all that leads to.
Rainy sunrise...
** I kept thinking- creepy ghost child looking out the window... :)

I have to say, these are probably my favorites you have posted as of yet. I love that half moon arch, these are all super good and interesting!

You are brilliant .... unless it wasn't your aim to make those pics of the barn seem really creepy.
That second picture for me with the foliage really opened my eyes.

I love the depth in the barn. It reminds me of when someone suddenly comes to the opening and they are just that speck of darkness in the light.
I also love the angles that you used. They added that beautiful creepiness that old places have.
