Alter photos from last night. And the reason I had some cleaning to do today- seeing all the dust.

Done to honor the crone, the new moon.

Old House photos- Found a old house early Friday morning that looked like it could hold a few interesting things. Found out it was plenty plain tho.

So I travel on down the road as I waited for my meetup. And found a wonderful old home in a mowed field. I am going to make a few calls into the historical society's to try and find some info on this place. It's lay out is so nice, porches on each ends, and the top floor. Can't you just see the beauty of the place? Even today, falling in, the wood is so stunning in colors. You can see the electric was added years later, not taken care of as far as looks, roughed in.

I did go up the stairway after checking the floor, the ceiling and the steps wood. But did not dare to go off the large landing as the sides of the building are sloping and falling down. There is a level of stupid even I will not step over. ;)

Backside- note the poor foundation on the side wing, looked like just post holding that end up. Yeap, I was thinking just outside photos.

But that stairway you can see inside the front door... I had to go in.

All that wood going to waste, rotten away. And the old doors with the locks... I so would love to see those saved. Big house, makes you think of who owned it. Or maybe with all the porches it was a inn? So many questions to try and get the answers to.

its a shame that such a great house is sitting there going to waste.

It makes my heart ache to see such a gorgeous place standing empty and abandoned. It is beautiful, I LOVE the staircase and the simple wide open rooms. Wonderful work capturing these :)

That staircase almost looks like it was in the process of being restored when the building was suddenly abandoned.

Hard to believe such places exist, and really, give the obvious years of neglect, unlike what we would find here the building looks relatively untouched.

I love these! Especially the staircases.

I could see some pieces/sections throughout that could be stolen...I mean, 'salvaged'...

It's still beautiful.

I would love to buy a house like this and fix it up, make it a "home" again.

Doll House update- Yule Cabin.

Still some work to do but the food, other then a few loafs of bread, is done. We need to do the roof, seal it up, put the plexiglass front on. And place some items in the bookcase. The small brown house on the fireplace mantel is the gingerbread house I made last night. I need to decorate it, if I don't break it first. The other house is the one Cat made. :D

And yes- Cat moved the tree from the front to the back corner, showing off the food better. We have eggs in the basket, bread on the shelf, tatters in the basket on the floor, apples in the white bowl, turnips in the green bowl. On top of the table is a roasted chicken, carrots, and stewed tatters. Bowl of peas, and a apple tart. The basket on the kitchen bench has green beans, carrots, and squash. Root vegs to stay in the winter theme.

The other basket is just some misc. dry flowers we was playing with.

Note the tree has gingerbread men, cookies and candy canes. :) Lots of work went into it. The yule log is on the fireplace mantel, along with a basket of cookies. The cookie cutters, decorations only by the way, are beside the basket.

The roof is going to be wooden beams, with plaster, a few leaks for icicles to hang down *they are so cool looking- I have to use them. :)*

Need to make some clothing for the trunk, put up a rack/shelf for a cape to hang, hat maybe. And to put her books, personal items on.

:) It has been great fun, and relaxing even when you screw something up. Cat is the best person to do this with as she just flows with my many crazy ideals.

Can't wait to start another, see where our imagination takes us.

I have a very sick fascination with fire. In that I would watch it for hours on end. It is a good thing that I like "things" or I could see myself simply wishing to create flames...
