Watching the man trying to back his tractor trailer out of the lot. This is the same man who sat in my office and told me father of a job he did last week, the one where he had to shuttle it in. Why? As he told father “I told him (customer) when he asked me if I couldn’t get the truck in that I could. But that I never would get it out.” Father looked at me and I turned away to hide a smile.



Now- how can you get a truck into a place, pull it in, and not be able to back it out????



*sits and watches my father starting and moving three of the trucks to give the guy room, as he is getting himself stuck. And he will not listen to my father who is trying to help him back up*



Ahhh truck driving schools at its best. In real life- those orange cones they use to define a area are no where around. That wall will not forgive you, the car’s bumper and light pole will not move. And the ditch will swallow your tires up to your axle and leave you with a $300.00 tow bill, if you are lucky.



*sees the man pulling his truck forward yet again… as Dad stands in the rain, shaking his head.*



Dad is too kind, I would of left his ass out there to learn how to back up his truck. In fact, my father has done that to me. There is a tractor and trailer driving school in town. I see the student drivers out on the bypass all the time, nice straight four lane highway. Then you see them on a nice two lane street, making a turn into the big wide swiping junction that leads them back to their business.



What you don’t see is them in town, turning into a two lane road with car’s all around. Nor in the subdivisions and parking lots. Make them back up around a corner, see them park between two cars. You never see them on the “real” road, dealing with the situation they will deal with when they leave that school.



*cheers as the guy backs out, and leave with a blow of his air horn*



And seeing Dad heading to put the three trucks and two cars back that he moved so the man could back out of the spot he pulled into. Ass wipe should learn to drive.



*shakes my head*
