Back On Track.. *The Best Part Of Me* (1/25/11)

Spent a better part of my feeling

as if my world was turned

upside down, turned around

that there was no way for me

to make a sound without

sounding some what profound

I've used and abused alcohol

and drugs to try and set

my mind free so I wouldn't feel

like I was lost amongst the debris

it's not as easy to get one's life

back on track when it feels

as if you have no time to react

that everything is crumbling away

but there's nothing you can say

to change anyone's mind

on whether or not inner peace

is something you can find

I've given up drinking and the drugs

thinking that I could save me from

being drugged to my on grave

and just when I thought I was

going to lose it all, have

my life slow to a crawl before

hitting a brick wall an angel appears

near me, plain to see

to show me a light in the dark of night

that it's okay for me to be me

she's make me feel like my feet

fully grounded that's there's more

to life then having people shoving

me out the front door

cause life is truly worth living for

I can't imagine my life without her

everything would probably just be

a blur where anything I could

possibly see would burn

with no where to turn

I'm grateful I don't have to look back

I have the time to be able to react

cause my life's back on track

I have angel in my life that means

the world to me , she's all I want to see

she gives me a sense of peace

that makes me feel free

she is the best part of me
