These have nothing to do with vampires, yet are still open. As usual, the admins are just being pickled cunts so no surprise there.



Last time I checked, threads do not have to be vampire related at all, so I suggest you repost your thread because those nonces gave you a false reason and thus you were not in the wrong.



If it was too political then that should have been the stated reason since I think there is a rule about religion and politics I think.

I'm sorry you're upset about your thread being moved, but above the General Discussion area it lists appropriate topics: Things pertaining to the Dark Network. Vampire topics, Scifi topics, Occult topics, etc. Dreams could be considered an occult topic. Demonic possession definitely is. Candles, even, if discussed properly. Personally, I think the thread in there now is more of an advertisement. The apocalypse thread? Occult or Sci Fi.



At least it didn't get deleted. I've seen some questionable deletions taking place lately. Of posts, not threads, but still. I think there should be some kind of stamp or message that lets you know when a post is deleted and by whom it is deleted.

This morning I was listening to Josh Gorban's song "You Raise Me Up",(yes I do listen to inspirational music believe it or not) and as music always does, it got me to thinking. My mind goes into deep thought when I listen to a song with so much meaning. I realize there has been a lot of negative things going on between people lately. I'm not impervious to these situations, it has been quite disheartening honestly. I know that it is so extremely easy to find my own self picking out all the negative things in life and dwelling on them until my nerves are frayed and my attitude is less than poor. But I am learning to realize that the strongest and perhaps most courageous thing for me to do is to let the negative go and focus on the positive in life. Is it possible I tend to dwell more on the negative things because it is easier than gathering the strength and courage to be positive, an easy dodge from having to put forth that sort of effort and bravery?



There has been so much negative situations here lately(I realize this phrase sounds monotonous but I'm saying it again for those who have not gotten it yet). You know, VR can get me pretty worked up at times, and I don't even know why, nor do I realize it until after I have pitched this huge fit, cussed, fussed, and ranted, and for what? Nothing, but tattered nerves and wounded emotions! All these words get said, meanings to those words get assumed, drastic measures are taken, people are taken to task, unnecessary feuds are started, feelings get hurt, and lives become torn and poorer because of this. I am not too afraid to admit that I am guilty of this failure myself, not just on VR but in real life as well. But when I fail like this, I know I must pick myself back up again and press on with hope that it is not the end, because it isn't the end. Even if I may feel that there is no hope left and the end has come, there is still always a chance, and where there is a chance, I can always find hope. That should be enough to make me smile, be strong, and have faith. I am not talking about faith in a religious sense, although that is nice if you have that and it works for you, but what I am actually speaking of is just plain faith in itself. Faith that everything is not as terrible as it may seem in the mind, which I know I have been known to make things out to seem this way. But the truth is that there is far more good than bad, but it can be misinterpreted and taken as an attack. Sometimes I know I mistake something good and encouraging as an attack on me personally and get all bent out of shape over nothing at all. Usually if I am at odds with someone, I stay away from them or ignore them entirely. But it is the continuing of the dwelling process that eats away everything I have built up in life. Granted it may not be much to some, but it is much more than everything to me. And I am not willing to just let trivial strife run me down and ruin me as a person, what good would that do me? Granted, I catch myself from time to time allowing things to get to me, and I have been known to be vindictive when I allow myself to be. But I am working hard to not be that way, I am trying not to allow this to happen but when I do, and it comes back to bite me as my stubbornness always does, I do everything in my power to pick myself back up again and not wallow in the mire of misery and bitterness. And I am not going to lie, that takes a lot more effort to swallow pride and vengence, but it proves how that much more courageous and strong you truly are. Life is designed to knock you down. It will knock you down time and time again, but it doesn't matter how many times you fall - it matters how many times you get back up.



Valentines Day is quickly approaching! It is supposed to be a day of love and affection, even if it is just yourself. I sure do hope you remember that fact! I will be spending it with my beloved fiance and soul mate, the love of my life, Mistress Angelique, who I am blessed to call my own!!! I hope that everyone has that special someone to spend it with as well, even if it is just a friend or family member! May you all find the strength and courage to finally lay the negativity to rest once and for all. :)

As a teen, I was a huge fan of the Insane Clown Posse and Twiztid. I have matured a lot since those days of youth and moved on from the Horrorcore genre, now preferring such music as BlutEngel and Nox Arcana. As a youth, the "wicked shit" as ICP calls it, was new and super cool to me. But with age comes understanding and maturity...well, for some of us at least. And I understand now that it was all merely a gimmick on the artists' behalf to get rich quick. It targets the young and impressionable who feel a deep sense of rejection by society and a hidden desire to fit in someway, somehow. Such music artists as ICP and Twiztid started out as one of these youths who felt those emotions but were soon playing off the similar emotions of others and making money off of it in the process. In recent years I checked out their music just for kicks and giggles and realized they had done what they originally said they would never do, they incorporated the mainstream into their music. Why? To boost their swiftly fading careers! All the trash talking they did about mainstream industries and all the feuds they started and now they're having to eat those words to try and save what little fame and fortune they have left which is also quickly dwindling to nothing. They are no different than any other artist now, they ended up doing what they swore they would never do just to make a buck and bask in that lime light a little longer. What a waste of my youth listening and believing a bunch of fucking clown asses! I personally can't stand to hear that sort of music anymore, because it is ignorant and childish to me now. If it floats your boat, by all means listen to it, but sooner or later you may grow up and see them for what they truly are behind all that facepaint, which is washed up con artists, a one hit wonder band that are burned out and have no options left and will soon be a very distant memory along with their silly following. #Growthefuckup

So, a few days ago, I was going through the lowest rated members, most of which are permanently suspended accounts, when I come across one with a guy full frontal naked in his avatar. The only thing covering his penis was a black mark, but it leaves nothing to the imagination still, why the hell leave these profiles up for people to see. You admins do realize kids can and do get on this site and can still view these pages even with the permanent suspension on them, right?



Came across another profile and the guy was talking about how he liked to torture, rape, and murder women. Permanently suspended but left up the young and impressionable to still read and view. If you are going to permanently suspend these profiles on grounds of obscenity, why do you keep them up for everyone to still see!?

Well said but admins go by that "do as I say not as I do" policy, they or at least some of them just don't follow the site rules. I believe those profiles should indeed be deleted.



Mind you I personally have no qualms about torture, rape or murder but its not something you overtly advertise.

Site Administrators have certain guidelines given to them by Cancer that they have to follow. I would assume just because a profile violates enough rules to be suspended it does not always mean it violates the certain rules in place that would allow Administration to block the profile from public view.

Well, you'd figure that common sense would tell someone that if it violates forum rules enough to be permanently banned, then it would warrant a complete removal, otherwise why even ban it to begin with, makes no sense to ban it because it is offensive or lewd, yet leave it to be viewed. I think the terms of service need a serious overhaul and rethinking done or admins need to better utilize those terms of service. If it is offensive enough to be banned indefinitely then its bad enough to be removed indefinitely. And guy with his penis hanging out needs to be removed entirely from VR viewing.

If the genitals are covered, it isn't suspendable- no matter what it leaves to the imagination. Maybe it was suspended for a different reason. What are the accounts? Send me a PM. I can look and see the suspension reason.



This site is PG-13. We have rules laid out by Cancer to use and we can't make up our own and suspend things just because we might think they are lewd. Cancer made rules. Done. So, "us admins" go by that. The membership is really lucky for that, and it proves we aren't going rogue and suspending just because we don't like people... because trust I would have gotten rid of a few a long time ago. And I don't... because I only follow Cancer's guideline.

Permanent suspension should mean deletion, there is literally no point in keeping a perma-suspended profile...at all. Its likely that they just want the numbers to look good.

You wouldn't know what the point was, since you're not even been administrator. When you completely delete a profile, you delete all the records that would connect that person when they come back again. We need a rolling history of people for "reasons".

I do have experience as an admin actually, not on here obviously other being CM but differences in site admin function is minimal, so I know ips can be permanently banned and thus the only way to come back would be through proxy or changing the ip, sure that can be problematic since some people share IPs at some point but still doesn't seem right.



At the very least those profiles need to be completely blanked as well as removed from the numbers and rating. If you want..ahem "records" there are other ways to do that i.e an archive. Doesn't take long to copy/paste profile and certain posts and messages into a blacklist page.

You are correct, I am not an administrator, so no I do not understand the reasoning behind why Cancer lets these profiles stay up for the public to view. Again I'm not an admin, never have been and do not care to be an administrator. But that statement sounded a bit nasty and prideful. I was merely pointing out that it is pointless to keep the profiles if the person is permanently suspended. A rolling history means nothing if the person suspended can use the same IP address and start a new profile under a new email address. Granted this does not stop them from using another device to get on VR, but it would deter them a little more and remove these things from public viewing. It is just clutter and pointless to keep them in my opinion.

I don't know if anyone ever realized this or not, but the drama and fuss over who made president thing is nothing new, everyone makes this huge deal out of the presidential winner every four years. And they all have their ups and downs, the president is only human, not superman or god. Sure they say and do some things we dislike, but then who doesn't? It doesn't necessarily mean they're the next Hitler or antichrist nor does it mean that the other candidate would have been any better once in office. And lastly, who is gonna do a damn thing about it other than whine and cry? What's done is done, and unless you have some mastermind plan and plenty of people and money to back it, then it really doesn't matter what anyone thinks about it.

When I say I do not BELIEVE vampires exist, but I do have an INTEREST in them, most would naturally misunderstand this statement and take it as complete contradiction. So allow me to explain what I mean by this statement. I mean that I do not believe vampires exist outside of natural human desire to be something more than merely human, something different, something dark and mysterious. I have an interest in vampires when it comes to this aspect because it depicts the human nature to be prone to dark subjects. So although I do not believe in the "human Living Vampire" concept, I do have an interest in the idea of people trying to be more than they can be, especially in a darker aspect. Please do not misunderstand me here. I do not want to hear arguments about "I was born like this" or "I have a disease that makes me a vampire" or any other gibberish. I simply will not believe you.

So I just read through the VR terms of service policies and do not see anywhere where it states that freedom of speech is a violation or not allowed in the site. So if it is, why not state it in the terms of service? All it states is that so long as you are not posting offensive or illegal content or violating international or local laws, then you are not in violation of the terms of service. In fact it states very clearly that someone coming in and editing your content is a violation of terms of service and can result in termination of your account if reported to VR staff in a reasonable amount of time. I also read that VR staff have the right to alter the poster's content but on the same note says that all content posted by the poster is sole responsibility and property of the poster. "All Content posted to VampireRave.com in any way, is the responsibility and property of the author."



"VampireRave.com reserves the right, without limitation except by law, to serve any user Content on the web. You acknowledge that VampireRave.com does not pre-screen Content, but that VampireRave.com and its designates shall have the right (but not the obligation) on their sole discretion to refuse or remove any Content that is available through the Service. So here is what I see: if you are removing content not because it is against the laws, but simply because you do not like the poster or what they are posting, then you yourself are infringing on these rights of the poster. The local and international internet laws clearly states people have a freedom of speech on the web so long as it is not offensive or illegal. So if you are merely voicing your opinion, then how does this warrant removal of said post? Isn't that a violation of those laws in themselves?



I'm not looking to start trouble or an arguement, but recent nonsensical events on VR have gotten out of hand and it is being carried on to even more ridiculous heights. And people such as myself who want nothing to do with the issues would however like to know where they stand as members of VR so we can differentiate between true policy and merely an act of hate or anger which is against policy as well. And why are members held accountable for rules broken and not staff? No I'm not saying anyone has broken a rule and I'm not judging anyone here on their conduct, I'm just curious.



I'm just posting this because there's been way too many disputes over these topics lately and it has people wondering what in the world is going on here on VR.

I know many would argue this point until they are fighting mad, but it is still true, vampires are not real. I do not care what linage you came from or what "awakening" you say you have had, you are not a vampire and neither am I for that matter. Vampires came from mythology and are simply that, a myth, a legend, scary folklore created during a time when science of decomposition or science in a whole was not very well understood. People would exhume the dead and claim the hair and nails of a corpse had grown, blood was seen running from the mouth, they were bloated, and they would grown or move when a stake pierced their heart. This is all signs of decomposition, the hair and nails had not grown, the skin had simply pulled back giving that appearance. The blood from the mouth was seepage from decomposition. Bloating was from gases building up inside the corpse. And the "groan and writhing" taking place when the stake pierced the body was actually the noise from the release of gases inside which have been known to explode out violently because of the pressure built up. As far as people digging themselves up out of their graves and walking around, people at that time were sometimes buried prematurely, meaning they were not dead upon burial, just in a deep coma or catatonic state. Then you have to consider that people often looked to the supernatural to explain what they could not understand, example: mountain men who first ventured into Yellowstone Nation Park thought it was actually Hell. They did not know or understand the science behind volcanic activity so they likened it to what they did know, and that was Hell. The same is true with such creatures as the mythical Vampire, it did not start from Dracula. Dracula was written by an Irish author by the name of Bram Stoker who use a vicious warlord of Romania named Vlad Tepes, but the real Vlad Tepes never drank blood or had any vampire traits whatsoever. He was nothing more than a ruthless warlord for the church who had the Order of the Dragon as his holy symbol. Over the years, with such fantastic fictional tales, the vampire has been twisted into what many believe are real vampires today. Popular Culture has romanticized the vampire legend by adding its own twist to the tale and people believe it as truth. We hear of Sanguinism and PSI Vampires, these are not real either. Sanguinism is simply someone who drinks blood and Psychic Vampires was term coined by Church of Satan founder and crime scene photographer, Anton Lavey who did not mean the term as being taken literal. He meant it to describe those who are emotionally draining and never contribute anything in return. But certain "know-it-all" self proclaimed "vampires" misinterpreted the term and claimed this title and twisted it into something that is not real. As far as allegedly having ailments that appear as traits of vampire, a lot of it is the power of suggestion or real diseases that cannot be cured by drinking blood or avoiding sunlight or "sapping energy" from others, or sleeping in coffins. All in all, the twisted legend of the vampire is just that, a twisted legend. People like trying being more than what they already are, it is merely a form of role playing, that so many take overboard and convince themselves and others is true when they couldn't tell you exactly where or how the legends even began. Do not believe everything everyone tells or shows you simply because they may seem knowledgeable or because they are on sites such as VR, it only proves how gullible and manipulable you are to those who use that as a means of personal gain. Your contribution to that does not benefit you nor them, it gets you used and feeds the others' delusions. So in short, no vampires are not real.

Well said my friend but we both know none of this is going to be taken in, they will still cling to such delusions either out of a genuine belief that they are vampires or they will simply refuse it because its the only thing that gives their pathetic lives any meaning.



Some of the more craftier role-players try to compromise by instead saying that they are "human living vampires", they still get called out on this of course, usually by me since I happily crush fantasies of people.



Notice that these insects only do this in modern times, now that vampires are practically charming, good looking super-heroes. Back during the days of hammer horror or even before that, you never heard of anyone claiming to be a vampire, the only reason they do so today is because vampires are depicted as the ideal species, perfect, superhuman and romantic, so of course the basement dwellers are going to fantasize about being one.

You know I often wonder if some people truly put much thought into what they are painting an image of in what they put within their profiles that everyone is going to see and think that they have some sort of troubled complexion about themselves. Thought that goes beyond just "I wanna be someone or something I am not, so I must make myself look impervious to or unaffected by emotions."



To be honest, I laugh at this issue(and it is an issue), but I really shouldn't laugh because it truly is sad that some people are so vexed by their real lives outside of these social media outlets and networks that the online life is really all they have to cling to for solace. I filled my profile full of quotes and stories that do not truly depict me and I do not intend for them to either. They are merely eye candy for the viewers to read, but I have seen many others who truly try to convince the viewers that what is being depicted on profile is truly who that person is in real life and in reality it is but a veil that masks the troubled soul beneath the dark covering. It is sad and to someone such as myself, it shows more so than they would like for it to show.

That is pretty much how I think of the role-players on here, so dissatisfied with their pathetic insignificant lives that they cling to the delusion of being a vampire or something...in reality they just a bunch of depressed self harmers who can't accept themselves.

When I first returned to VR, I was at a complete loss for reasoning as to why I had returned. There was no foreseeable reason and no expectation at all in my returning. It was quite literally an inexplicable urge and seemed rather irrational to me as I had left all form of social networks back in the end months of 2015. Facebook was my last online profile and I deleted that then and told myself not to involve myself in such things as I actually considered them more of nuisance than they were worth. So my return to VR was unexpected and seemingly whimsical at first, but now I know, with Mistress Angelique in my life as my soul mate, my love and light of my life, indeed my very life itself, there was so immensely more to it than just a random decision on my behalf. I consider it to be a blessing not of my will or power! It was absolutely meant to be! And am grateful for everyone I have met on here and cherish you all! Happy New Year 2017!!!

Well friends and fiends, yesterday was a long and grueling ride in the rental car that Mistress Angelique and I are now referring to as the "torture chamber on wheels"! lol! But it was well worth the pain of riding about 8 or 9 hours with all the crazy drivers and god awful roads because we're starting a New Year and a new life together in utmost love and happiness! We wish you all the same, a very Happy New Year 2017!!!
