The officer said " cause of covid no one is really going to prison anymore, and jails not much likely either... "

so, basically, covid means crime pays right now.

90 days for 12 felonys.
our system is a fucking joke.

Welp, my stupid sister in-law gets sentenced today.
She was on probation for 17 counts of animal cruelty,
She some how plea dealed down to a misdominor,
Why she wasn't in prison is beyond me, but anyways,
she was on probation, then while as a waitress, tried to rob over 12 people.
12 counts of overcharging on a financial transaction device (each a possible six-year felony )
as its her second offense doing this.
as well as embezzlement ( 93 day first offense )

But the law bites us good people...
Her new plea deal?...god is it good for her....

Plea guilty to three counts of overcharging, the embezzlement charge, and pays all restitution in full the rest will be dismissed. 9 felony's, possible 54 years, just GONE. so 3 carrys the max of 18y 93 days. shes been in jail about 100-120 days. But, she got off on the animal cruelty charges, and now, could walk from this?

Nah, this is why the system is fucked. OH! and the totl she tried to steal?

God i hope it's atleast 10 years.....
