My mother, was hospitalized 3 days ago, after having a EKG that didn't look good. Turns out she has dilated cardio myopia. Which means her heart is enlarged, and weakened.
They said that the average heart, when it pumps, injects 60 (60 what I don't know). My mom's does 17. So basically her heart is at 25%.
Apparently, a third of the people with this, get better. A third stay about the same. And the last third get worse and need a heart transplant.
So, for now, she can't go back to work, needs to take a bunch of meds, and wait.
Waiting fucking sucks.
