See, dear reader, it was my big fat idea to declare that I wanted become an important part of the planning process here at the agency. Nay, it was my idea to demand it.



And, no thanks to three rounds of lay-offs, there are fewer people around these days who can step up to the proverbial plate when a big project comes along. The good part of this is that there are fewer people that I have to compete with.



Oooooh, put me in coach! Put me in!

*sits alone on the bench*



Surely, I thought, my natural competence and hard work will shine that much brighter, like s star on a moonless night. I'm mixing metaphors, but you know what I mean.



So here I am, dear reader, putting together the strategy for a new client... and I have no idea what I'm doing.



And it feels good.
