I used to think seagulls were noisy and bothersome.

But not anymore.



See, I was at the beach recently, for the first time in a long long time.



And I was looking forward to the feel of hot sand and the comfortable white-noise of waves, seagulls, and distant laughter.



But things are different these days. Everyone, it seems, has a damned Blackberry or a cell phone attached to their faces.

Even at the damn beach.



So instead of waves and seagulls; what I heard was the loud obnoxious shrieking of the stupid bastards next to us; yelling unimportant conversations into their damned phones:

"No, I said you have to water the plants. WATER THE PLANTS!. NO. THE. PLANTS! YEAH. oh GAWD it's hot!" Etc.



and the one next to her was just as insipid:

"So...where are you? Are we going out tonight? Rilly? Yeah. When? Rilly? RILLY? Omigawd!" Etc.



It was like that for two hours straight.

Nothing but vapid blathering for two hours.

Purely free of importance and necessity.



Like I said;

I used to think seagulls were noisy and bothersome.

But not anymore.



Besides, they're easy to scare off.



Now, I'm not a violent man. Really.



but I wanted to walk over to them and beat them to death with the lid from my cooler.

and with each hit I would have screamed "SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP YOU STUPID BASTARDS!!"



but again, I'm not a violent man.

Really.

*cracks knuckles*

The ones who super creep me out are the ones in public restrooms blathering away. Maybe I should start screaming like a demented harpy.
