When rating profiles I was talking to a friend on here and we both wondered why a kid would have a child at 14. Of course it said on the profile that the kid didn't even have custody of her kid.

People often debate that humans used to get married at younger ages. Yes, they did but did you ever look at it this way? Society has changed and people live longer. As people in today's world, do we all not live till older ages or do most of us die at 30?

In longer age there are rules. For example in the U.S. (State of NY) people aren't allowed to smoke till 18 and drink at 21. This would be because smoking is a useless bad habit and drinking shouldn't be done by teens. For the two reasons of: Not wanting teens to end up drinking and driving and because alcohol has some benefits if one is old enough. Teens are still growing. And if they are still growing then there is no need for them to have a kid when they should be taking care of themselves. Forget the whole "Taking responsibility" or "mature enough" bit.

Parents should get involved in their kids lives and have a talk. No matter how embarrassing. AT least teach them about condoms. Which isn't hard to get at all. Did you know it's free if you go to the doctors or happen to pass by an event where they give them away? Yeah, no excuse.

Forget about my views even. That I think kids should get abortions and stuff. I just wanted to express societies rules and why they are there.

Gah. I honestly didn't know what male anatomy looked like until a few months ago. Yeah, shame on me, I'm nearly 18. :P XD

Gtfo and stfu, google.

She said it was done in lust... and I didn't even think kids had that part of their brain working at that age.

I do not think a 14 is mature enough. I don't think they could ever be - no matter the child. That's all they are, children. Yeah, your kid may be a real chip off the block, but god. If I found out my 14 year old was pregnant, I'd call the cops and prosecute the father. She'd be too young to realise that she's changed her whole life - and it's rare that they won't regret it. Think of the grandparents. Their own child still a kid, and with a kid of their own. They're going to have to look after the child a lot of the time. It's just not fair on anyone. :/

I never really understood the debate on teen pregnancy when I was younger. Why can't they have kids if they love each other? And then I realised that 80% of the time it was a fumble at a party either with some stranger, or "the one" that doesn't plan on sticking around.

I don't really see the problem when they're 18, 19, 20 and on, but 14 is sickengly young.

Can I ask you something? Why do you treat me as if I'm an elder child who you thought could do better? You aren't my e-mommy and you'll never be. I'm a young adult and a pretty responsible one at that. Just think about it.

Because that's what they do. They mother people and pass on their judgement when it's generally not wanted and they make a point of making you feel like a child, so they can guilt you into doing what they want.

Ignore - they're much, much older than you, and yet you're the mature one here. If someone asked them for advice on that situation, I'm sure their reply would have been "Block them" - difference is, they have to listen to the whining complaints now - though it's none of their business.

Ignore. :P
