So, I took the Bible quiz, and yes, I got a very good score...but only because I put some answers down that I know the quiz was seeking. Some of the questions were wrong, and that doesn't seem to be a fair test. For example, just because Joseph's brothers sold him, doesn't mean that the entire nation was either sprung from the loins of Joe, or that Joe's brothers sold ALL of the Israelities to the Egyptians. Also, the flood lasted over a year...it just rained for 40 days. There are decades long theological debates on some of the other questions: like the Samaritian question, etc.,etc.
I don't really take these quizzes that often, but this one really got on my nerves for some reason. I'm feeling grouchy today. =(

So the President of the LDS (Mormon) church died the other day. The effect on my life is that it is a BIG deal in the part of the country where I reside. The local television station will be showing his funeral live all day and that sort of thing. Now, I try to be respectful of anyones beliefs and so I am not going to say I am "happy" about his death: but I will say...FINALLY...a friggin Saturday without missionaries beating on my door! I don't really mind them, sometimes I even discuss theology with them. But my dog HATES mormon missionaries, percieves them as an imminent threat and goes ballistic when she spots them. It's a regular three ring circus.
My dog has some interesting views and some misplaced values. She does not like men in hats or babies either. Here is what I am trying to teach my dog this week.

Well, yeah... there were places where you knew you had to pick the best answer even though the right one wasn't there :P
Something people always need to remember is that the person creating the quiz is not always a 'scholar' on the topic themselves.
