I've committed to doing the Relay for Life walk this year.

It's a great event that helps raise a lot of money to help in the fight of cancer.

I've tried over and over to use this thing like a true journal, to record my thoughts and feelings and life events. I always end up deleting or erasing the really meaningful things that I put down. The things that matter to me.

I'm guessing it's because I really don't want to share that much of my life with everyone here.

I can continue with the bits and pieces...but everytime I try to write about something that really matters..I just freeze up.

I keep hoping that I'll change my mind on this, I'd like to spill my guts, and right now there just isn't anyone in my real life that I can trust with the information that's bogging my mind down.

Why can't I just put it all out here and relieve myself of the pressure? Who knows...

Until the time comes when I CAN, I guess all I'll continue to write here is junk.

i was gonna say the same thing :)

have done it several times myself :)

sometimes it helps to write something down (or type lol) .... and just send it away, even if its just to an "invisible" journal entry :)

My bad..

I just rated a user who was "suspended until infinity".

That's what I get for not paying closer attention.

At least I didn't rate him a 10, I guess that's something.

When you ask your wife if she needs help with the dishes and she turns around and gives you a 'cold' no. That's a pretty good indicator that "Yes, you shit! I'd love some help with the dishes, considering I cooked, did laundry and now am doing the dishes...all while you kept the remote moving and the recliner warm!"

DO NOT turn away and say "ok hon, I'm gonna hit the shower and then go to bed"

The kids just might wake up fatherless.

There was a Guns n Hoses tournament this weekend raising money and food for the local food pantry. The local fire departments vs the local law enforcement. It was sooo much fun! I hadn't bowled like that in forever and I'm paying for it today.

Our team brought in 8 bags of food and $30.00. The total money brought in was just over $1000.00 and we've managed to stock their shelves with canned goods to last a good little while.

The rep from the food pantry was explaining that she was glad that we did not have this tourney at/near christmas. She said they always get plenty of donations for the holidays, but it's after the holidays that they have trouble keeping the pantry stocked. This helped and I'm glad.

We played 3 games against 16 other teams. My highest total was 125. My lowest was 59, and we still took 4th place over all! You know the rest of my team carried me..lol

After the alotted 3 games, everyone was free to play more games at their own expense. We challenged another Sheriff's office team to a game. Loser buys the beer was the original bet, but I offered up something better. We buy our own beer and loser donates $20.00 more the the Pantry. Surprisingly, this went over well. So well, in fact that when we won the first game, the other team offered up a 'double or nothing' game. They lost the second game and donated $40.00 to the food pantry and just because we had so much fun, our team matched that and the pantry ended up with another $80.00.

We really had a terrific time. Even the spousal unit, who rarely gets involved had a terrific time. I really got to see his competetive streak..and I'm gonna have to put him on more team things..lol

Little Sally came home from school with a smile on her face

and told her mother, "Frankie Brown showed me his weenie

today at the playground!"

Before the mother could raise a concern, Sally went on to

say, "It reminded me of a peanut."

Relaxing with a hidden smile, Sally's Mom asked, "Really small, was it?"

Sally replied, "No, Salty."

My nephews and neice finally moved to another apartment!

This one is soo much nicer than the one they had. It's ten times more room too! This one is actually a house on stilts and it has a huge beautiful deck that runs around 3 sides of the place.

I can't wait to go over for their first BBQ!

I made a new friend in an online game I play.

She's really fantastic and very caring and just an all around lovely lady. I don't know if she's interested, but I'm going to tell her about VR and see if she's up for a new thing.

Now another ally I met there...Oye! Nice and sweet person, just doesn't have all the lights turned on quite yet.

Some of the headlines I'm going over

"Dallas Cowboys release safety Roy Williams"

"NFL says economy won't sack Arlington Super Bowl events"

"Report: Cowboys release WR Owens"

The first two are verified. I'm not happy about losing Williams. I realize they're putting out a lot of money for him, but he's good.

The T.O. report isn't validated yet. I think it's past time they let him go. He was good at one time, now he's just a figment of what he used to be.

Damn I can't wait for football season again!

I REALLY want tickets to the new stadium.

Of course it was kind of similar to a junkie needing a fix and all he can get his hands on are a couple of 200mg Ibuprofen :P

Too much coffee. No, wait...not ENOUGH coffee.

Yeah, that's it. I'm off to grab another mug full.

You know, it's amazing how differently you can feel from day to day.

Yesterday was an absolutely different day. I think I said hello to everyone who was showing available on my friends list, at least once, maybe more. Mind you this doesn't happen often with me. I stay pretty secluded and usually only speak to the people who are my regular visitors.

I found out that there's a reason these people are on my friends list. They attracted me some how at one point or another and then we just didn't stay in touch.

I'm really glad I was in a terrific mood. I intend to stay in touch with those of you I spoke to yesterday and I'm going to try to make a better effort to know my 'friends'. Novel idea, huh?

Last House on The Left .....guess where I live??

My daughter saw this trailer and is severely freaked out because we are the last house on the left and a body of water runs directly in front of our house and behind it is nothing but land and more water.

I don't think I want to see this movie. I spend many nights by myself as do my kids. My mind would really run rampant if I couldn't get a hold of them by phone for some reason..heh

The cemetary

On the outskirts of a small town, there was a big, old pecan tree

just inside the cemetery fence. One day, two boys filled up a

bucketful of nuts and sat down by the tree, out of sight, and began dividing the nuts.

'One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me,' said one boy. Several dropped and rolled down toward the fence.

Another boy came riding along the road on his bicycle. As he passed, he thought he heard voices from inside the cemetery. He slowed down to investigate. Sure enough, he heard, 'One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me.'

He just knew what it was. He jumped back on his bike and rode off. Just around the bend he met an old man with a cane, hobbling along.

'Come here quick,' said the boy, 'you won't believe what I heard! Satan and the Lord are down at the cemetery dividing up the souls.'

The man said, 'Beat it kid, can't you see it's hard for me to walk.' When the boy insisted though, the m an hobbled slowly to the cemetery.

Standing by the fence they heard , 'One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me.'

The old man whispered, 'Boy, you've been tellin' me the truth. Let's see if we can see the Lord.'

Shaking with fear, they peered through the fence, yet were still unable to see anything. The old man and the boy gripped the wrought iron bars of the fence tighter and tighter as they tried to get a glimpse of the Lord.

At last they heard, 'One for you, one for me. That's all. Now let's go get those nuts by the fence and we'll be done.'

They say the old man made it back to town a full 5 minutes ahead of the kid on the bike.
