Learn to write your hurts in the sand and to carve your benefits in stone.
The winds of time can erase away the hurt, but the good etched in stone can never be erased.
If the hurts are small enough to be erased away completely and all that's left is the good...can you be ok with that? Is that something you can live with? I guess when you have your answer, you'll know what to do.
Nope, nothing here to see.
Maybe the new year will bring me something that I feel I need to share.

It better be cookies :P
I'll send them express :~
All the shopping is done. Well, I still have a few stocking stuffers I need to get, but that won't require a trip to the mall, just a quick peek into Wal-Mart.
The spousal unit FINALLY put up the outside lights. I had to laugh at him because he'll only end up taking them down next week, but he was determined to do it. He said it didn't feel like Christmas with no lights on the house.
I had a little pissing match with my brother's last night. Men can really be self centered, you know.
Christmas is rolling right along. What would it be without a few words exchanged, some lights blowing out, a few burned deserts and forgotten presents.
Hope Dworaczyk. Any of you guys out there heard of her?
She's apparantly dating, or was dating Jason Kidd, a top of the line basketball player, or so I've read (I can pick out Yao Ming, and Shakeel O'neil, but probably not more than that).
Anyway, So Hope was/is dating Kidd. She has also done some modeling and recently participated in Hugh Heffner's TV series "The Girl Next Door". She made it to the final three, but didn't get top billing. She did, however, get a 'spread' in Playboy which should be coming out pretty soon.
The guys at work were trying to tell me the difference between a tasteful nude and a raunchy nude 'spread'. That's for a whole nuther entry, but a quick note...*when you spread your legs for a camera...you don't hide a lot...i'm not sure props could make a big difference.*
Anyway...so the reason I'm writing this is because this girl is from here! Little Port Lavaca, TX...I just thought that was pretty cool!
I'm sure there are plenty of bible thumpers who won't admit she's from this area..but that's their perogative. I think it's pretty awesome...of course...she's not MY daughter..lol
Oh yeah..her picture can be found at this site.
Hope Dworaczyk
Tonight is the office Christmas/Motivational Party. I'm heading over after lunch to set up tables and decorate, then heading home to cook and get dressed.
This is the first year in this Sheriff's tenure that we've been allowed to have alcoholic beverages at the party. The sheriff has always felt that alcohol would make it less of a family party and more of an adult party. Hell, with this crew, he's probably right...who knows. But, we shall see tonight if he continues the tradition next year.
I've sent out a memo asking the the proper decorum to be observed...at least while the sheriff is there.
Hopefully, everyone can hold off on the dancing and singing until he leaves..lol
This should be an interesting night.
I am sooo tired this morning. Th past few mornings, I've been getting up at 5am to get Jenn to powerlifting practice.
That's not such a bad thing, if I am getting plenty of rest. The last few nights though, I've been getting to bed at or after midnight.
It's Thursday and this is really starting to take it's toll on me.
I'm thinking I'll close my office door and put a do not disturb sign on it.
What a surprise to see Nick online today!! It was great, good, all that is fantastical!
I laughed all over again at the things we've shared. Your goofines will forever stay with me. I remember that beer we shared and how much of a gentleman you were.
I miss seeing you my friend. I miss talking to you every day and sharing with you my deepest darkest thoughts.
I am sooo very glad we caught up a little today. I hope the next time isn't quite so far away.

Damn i missed him again!
He didn't stay for long..you know that one, all work and no play! Oh wait..that's not nick!!
It was fantastic to see him :)
1. Yes you missed me damnit!!!
2. Yes, I am all work and no play....at least these days, boy are my priorities warped.
3. I have tremendously missed the hell out of both of you!!!!! Give you both lots of hugs, kisses, and gropes!
Hey pal! Watch it!
Easier on the hugs and kisses..and heavier on the gropes please :)
Crackhead...my cousin is a complete crackhead. Not in the druggie sense, but in the complete, lack of gray matter, lack of common sense, lack of right or wrong sense!
I'm gonna have to ask my aunt if she was on drugs when she was pregnant with this child!

So quite literally, you believe his head is cracked and his brains escaped?
If, in fact, he ever had brains to begin with.
Another day at home with a sick little one. I'm filling her with honey and cinammon and vicks and he's getting lots of rest.
Wish I could say the same thing about me. Since I'm home, there's plenty to do, so I'll be busy for most of the day.
Fingers crossed that she feels better tomorrow. I'm running out of leave days.
What a weekend!
We had a fanstastic time at the dance Saturday. The music was good and my feet and calves hurt from so much dancing..but it was worth it!
I spent damn near all of Sunday at the hospital. First my son gets ill...so an hour or two with him. They sent him home with antibiotics and orders for lots of rest.
My neice called me later to say she felt horrible and didn't know where her mom was....so there I go again. I had to drive around town ducking into every bar to find her mom, but I did find her.
Today I'm home with my little one who has some sinus issues and was being a little cranky. I think I just liked the excuse to stay home and relax more than anything else.
More later...

I suspect they wanted it to be witty...
I suspect your suspicions are correct...but it doesn't always feel witty..lol
Man I am with you that saying almost makes me feel homely lol
lmao!
lol, how true :) Well, I am a friend and I am here now! Is that okay?
That's absolutely perfect :)
It's a rotten old emo tactic lol
I absolutely love the little things in life.
I laughed with my 19 year old son today. It was a magical moment.
Of course the joy was short lived..but, it was joyous while it lasted.

Inspiring feeling. laughter and shared Moments
My son and I often share those kinds of moments. He tries to tickle dad (I am not ticklish) and I giggle just to watch him giggle. My daughter like to snuggle up next to me and watch me play Fallout 3 or catch an old movie. Nice times.
What's between snow and rain but not as heavy as sleet?
I don't know, but we're getting it here!
weeeeeeeeee!
Definately time for chili and beans tonight!

I was gonna say something witty, but it escaped me :)
*gasp* I could use something witty...especially after that fiasco of a 2nd half yesterday! I've been in a sour mood since then :(
Was he good? ;)
He was horrible
I finally found my camera. I was almost ready to call it a complete loss.
Amazing what you can find in your couch cushions.. jeesh
There is a god!!
I was putting the left over pico de gallo in the fridge and found the yogurt I put in there yesterday and forgot about!
It's a miracle someone else at work didn't gobble it up!
nummy...strawberries and granola...nummy
I've mis-placed my camera. This is not what I need right before the holiday.
Time for some spring cleaning in winter.
Cold winds blew in last night
and someone got a little frisky.
He thought he was gonna have some fun,
but he was wrong.
By the time he came to bed,
I was nice and warm and toasty in my covers,
and very fast asleep.
He woke me up this morning with a kiss and a
little grumpiness.
Teach him to send me emails about how women nag .
We don't nag..we hold out :)
What a weekend!!
Wednesday, we had family over. CJ from Houston came down and brought his bottle of Crown Royal with him. I don't drink Crown, but I did have a small bottle of Amaretto that I finished before the end of the night. We danced and sang, or was it tripped over each other and belted out mumbled curses...yeah, I think that was it! I think we all fell into bed around 3am and had to be up at 8am.
Thursday...we didn't quite make the 8am timeline. We were out of the house and running around 11:30. An hour on the road put us at the in-laws around 12:30 and I still had mashed potatoes to do. We had a great lunch feast there and watched a hellacious Cowboys game afterwards. On a sad note, I missed seeing my parents for Thanksgiving. The first time in probably 20 years. It's just getting too hard to do more than one Thanksgiving in one day.
Friday..back home to unpack and head over to my parent's house to spend some time with them. My brother was fishing when we got there, so I let him bait and cast for me and I actually brought in a decent sized drum and 2 hardheads! That was a lot of fun.
Saturday..packed up again to drive to San Antonio, our local high school football team was playing in the playoffs. It was a 2 1/2 hour drive and my husband was riding with the Sheriff's escort, so I had to drive...ugh! The first half was gut wrenching. One interception and 3 fumbles later we were breaking for halftime at a score of 31-10. The second half was much better. We came back with three touchdowns, but sadly we missed one of the extra points. Down to the wire, we're 31-30 and 7 seconds left in the game. We tried for a 60 yard field goal, which we were sure wasn't going in, but we held our collective breath anyway. It was a very sad sad moment. The boys have worked so hard, but it just didn't happen for them. After a long day, it's back on the road for 2 1/2 hours to get home at around 2am.
Man was I tired!!
Sunday was relaxing day. Hubby wanted to bbq, so I wouldn't have to cook. How sweet of him. I went to the grocery store to pick up all the fixins. I seasoned everything, made the beans, rice, potato salad and pico, while he put the meat on the pit and watched another football game in between checking the meat.
Like I said..how sweet of him. :P
In a big nutshell, that was my weekend. Dang was I ready to get back to work!!
