here i sit

feeling alone

watching as the crowd

walks by

none take heed

none makes note

here i sit feeling alone

slowly....

darkness falls

from the nighttime sky

and still

i sit

still alone

looking up, stars fill the heavens

a voice

so quiet

fills my head

deep in pitch

resounding within

eloquently asking

no telling

that this is the way

no longer do I sit

now I journey

my pilgrimage

my quest

to find the trail

to seek the haven

I can still hear

that voice

deep in pitch

and

no longer

do I sit

no longer

feeling alone
