I hate the holidays. Have for the last five years. It’s not just those friends and family who are gone, my grandfather, my dad, all the rest. It’s the fact that two of my cousins, once like sisters, don’t speak to me. Over a little thing like money that I’m legally owed. Thanks to stuff the older cousin has told them, fully 50% of my remaining family don’t speak to me. No invites for the holidays, nothing.

I have younger cousins I have never met. Probably never will.

I’m drunk. I’m gonna go.
