What do we know of one another?
Inside the silence,
Where hidden fears lurk,
Vengeful teeth bared for a snap,
Secrets lay in wait,
They surprise us with their appetitte.
What hunger for the end of dreams?
Noisy growls from bellies empty,
Of love.
Jealousy- twisting the distended mass,
Our wails of grief call out for succor,
But only crows flock to hear of our envy.
What malice do we find,
Cowering in the corner,
Backed up as an animal caged,
It waits to lash out,
At torments' provider.
In spite of what we knew,
Of one another,
Still the barbs of fear lay dug in,
Beneath our skin,
Caught in a line of deciet,
Taken away from the truth,
For which we will ever suffer.
