If energy cannot be created...

"...or destroyed, then where did we come from?

I have always said this as well, because I have to explain it to people that mock my ghost hunting, and belief in the paranormal.

But I was reading my other thread I started about the afterlife and someone mentioned that same line. I got to thinking...

I agree, but if energy (us) cannot be created or destroyed, where did we originate? To originate, we would have to be created. It has to start somewhere.

Where do you believe we came from?"

Considering some of the responses to this thread, I’ve decided to post a little ditty I wrote many moons ago…

If the universe is infinite and contains all things, then it must also contain itself.

So inside the universe, is the universe.

But if the universe is within itself, that means it is also outside the one it contains, which is also itself.

Creating the paradox of having all things within themselves and yet outside everything, including themselves.

But then we get to the hard part.

You have to realise that the universe that is within itself also contains the universe.

And so too, does this universe, ad infinatum.

Which is also contained by and contains the universe.

If we accept that all matter will turn to energy at some point and that the universe is made up of two forms - matter and energy.

Then we can look at how energy gives life to matter.

Rather like yin yang, chaos - energy, and order - matter.

At an atomic level matter is just lots of little bits of energy joined together and resonating at a lower frequency, generating gravitational energy and thus slowing time relative to the observer.

Does that mean that all energy will become matter, and then energy again one day?

Then looking at black holes, it is now known that there is a supermassive black hole at the centre of all galaxies, as well as smaller ones dotted around and, perhaps tiny ones within the sub-atomic fields.

It is also known through computer modelling, that black holes spew huge jets of energy out of themselves, in opposite directions to each other, much like a spindle.

Galaxies rotate about these black holes, travelling like a nut along a bolt.

Perhaps all the matter in the galaxy is being sucked into the black holes (which it will some day) to be obliterated utterly and turned back into atomic energy.

Imagine the universe as an illuminated pearl with ribbons of light travelling through it in all directions.

When gravity slows time, matter has time to evolve and we are at the pinnacle of that evolutionary process relative to our location in space/time.

We are now capable of questioning the meaning of life. This can only mean that the universe is attempting to reason, as we are ultimately evolved from the universe itself.

Perhaps the universe is trying to find out the answer to the question humanity has always asked.

Why am I here?

I had one really wacky theory that all the universes representing infinite possibilities were in fact contained within every atom in all the matter in the universe, because the universe would have needed to have all possibilities in order to find the one that answers the question.

So when you split an atom, you are actually opening another possible universe, as two possibilities cannot co-exist in the same space/time, the split one is annihilated, releasing the massive energy we see with atomic bombs.

What if all the atoms that make up us, were semi-sentient universes, all asking the question?

The human brain has more neural connections between cells in it than there are stars in the galaxy.

Perhaps this is how the mind, id or soul, whatever you want to call it is generated, by all of the universe/atoms communicating with each via the electrical energy in our bodies.

And this is why human imagination is limitless, as the universe thinks this is the way to answer the unanswerable.

But by the very fact it was created of the universe, it is not answering the same question, so my theory's bollocks!

You should post this if for no other reason than to make people cry because they can't follow it.

lol The other posts in that thread are equally as difficult, each for their own reasons.

Energy can't be created or destroyed but, if it disappears call it potential energy, so that if it suddenly reappears you can say its been there all along .... isn't that one of those laws that only works because it says it does ?

I like the theory that we are made up of uncountable millions of sentient atoms grouping together to seek their own answers though us seeking our answers. But I harbor a deep fear that all that we believe we know is a lie and we are but a joke crossing the mind of a celestial comedian.

Pointless and time consuming...

I am in the process of deleting the responses to Coven advert threads which consist of no more than 'good luck' and 'bump' or some other dire attempt to increase a post count.

Shortly, I will do the same for the Events section. All in all, this will be hundreds of posts, taking me some considerable amount of time. I ask myself if I am the only person actually moderating the forum sometimes.

I know some people do put in the effort, but since I've been offline for a couple of weeks, the amount of garbage seems to have increased a lot.

Some members have even posted the same response in threads multiple times...

No you're not the unique one, I've noticed the same thing too and my hand hurts at deleting, we should do something about it. And the same goes for some in the General Discussion, the value of the main section is decreasing.
