Abuse for doing the job I've been asked to do. How original an expression of dislike for me. I am truly wounded. In fact, I shall leave the forum and never close another thread, because you've hurt me so much.
Actually, why don't I just leave VR and let you and your moronic compatriots post whatever you like, whenever it suits you. We could make VR just like vampirefreaks, and have flame wars and threads about everything not VR related.
I have another great idea!
Why don't you just go and cry in a corner and get over it.
In response to a forum thread that at it's core, has some valid points:
VR is a resource for information, with a social networking feature.
How members choose to use the services, some of which they pay for, is entirely their perogative.
Clearly, you have taken the line that everyone that joins this site, does so for the same reasons which you explicitly outline above.
Far from being based on actual fact, your opinion appears to be shrouded in some delusional sense of love and togetherness being the core of this site.
It is not. Many of the members who join never come back, their profiles being deleted and they are not missed. Many visitors never even join.
For those that do join and want to stay, they set out their stall as they see fit. If someone takes offence at that, or doesn't like it, then what business is it of yours, or Cancer, or anyone else?
No-one here has a right to dictate how we are to treat one another. Only those who choose to submit to a set of rules offered by their peer group, can claim any sort of responsibility for the actions of their friends.
You are not special, I am not special, none of us are any more or less than who we are, and since we are all different and as such, entitled to our opinion, we may treat others as we see fit.
If you, or anyone else doesn't like that, then thats pretty tough luck. But rather than approach such an issue with care, with an attitude of reconciliation, you have chosen to attack, to further drive opinion in the direction that you would view as negative.
Consequently, you undermine the value of your own efforts, rendering your outburst impotent in the view of those whom you berate.

Excellent post Stabb.
I really admire how consistent you are (thats a compliment by the way :)
There was another one of those threads in the Sandbox as well. I took care of it though.
Well said, Stabb.

Wonderful response. You always come out with the most worthy of arguments.
This is the Thirwell remix of 'Wish', a song I used to mosh to and even got myself a good scar for, and which is infinitely superior to the original, imo.
I remember when I actually paid money for this album, and gladly so, long before the days of file sharing.
The whole work is quite a unique and at the time, progressive example of industrial-tech-rock.
Even now, after listening to it for the first time in a few years, it still competes with the current crop.
At over nine minutes, it's a tour de force of heavy beats and guitars, underlaid with a distinct techno flavour, resulting in a wall of noise that can take some getting used to...

The member has blocked me, but not after telling me that she didn't need to let anyone know a Dominar had already approaved this, and that I was 'disrespectful'.
Her boyfriend, 'LordVlad' (how original), has also made his feelings about my 'disrespect' known.
In response, I would have said:
I'd have to ask why you sought approval from a Dominar prior to posting it then?
I disagree about your manner. Combined with your silly journal entries, it makes you appear as seriously unbalanced.
I have a lot of work to do on VR, and this is only one of many that I close. I closed it for a valid reason. I have asked for the Dominar who approved it to speak to me and we'll work it out.
Goodnight.

Stabb, you do alot of thankless and excellent work in maintaining the VR forums. That you and your fellows keep the forum "clean" is the reason so many have come to regard VR as a place where they can "learn". I re-opened that thread long enough to post this to the end of it.
"Hear this clearly, VR. The Dominar that closed this because the thread is a month early recieved a surly message as a result. YOU DO NOT HAVE THE OPTION TO BE ABUSIVE TO OUR STAFF. The end.
If we take into account any and all countries that have lost human lives on account of terrorism, war, police actions et. al. our forum could veritably be a non-stop flood of sympathy. It is not only Americans whose lives have been touched by violence. If the idea of non-stop mourning and remembrance appeals to you, join amnesty international and post on their forums.
The fact is, September 11th and all discussions resultant from it are political and therefore technically banned from VR forums. That this is let slide to some degree is a lax in moderation, be thankful for it, don't attack our staff about it. If you want to open a thread regarding 9-11, DO it ON 9-11.
I am disgusted by the rudeness of some members toward each other and VR staff."
I appreciate everything you do for us here.

Nope, not when we're buddying up with assholes who enjoy saying nasty things about others ^.^
