The repairs to the sword are more demanding than I had anticipated. I am still working on the sharpening. The edge is becoming more jagged. I need to adjust my sharpening technique so I do not damage the blade.
I bought a sword today. The quality is not the best, but I am working to improve it. My To-Do list is as follows:
1. Clean and polish the blade
2. Remove tarnish from the brass guard
3. Sharpen the blade
4. Re-wrap the handle
5. Make a new, more ornate scabbard
I will keep you, my dear readers, updated on the progress. I have high hopes for this project. This sword has so much potential!
I am thinking of taking the concept of living as a wanderer and scaling it down a bit. This will translate to taking a few hours or a couple days to just wander aimlessly. It sounds pretty relaxing, honestly. Might bring a good book with me (Either The Hobbit or My Side of the Mountain). I already have a bag packed. The weather is horrible today, but it will be sunny tomorrow. I'll take about 4 or 5 hours to wander then.

I used to do this alot...no matter if it was in the woods or city... It's fun and you could stumble upon some interesting stuff
Sounds relaxing
Ah, to be a nomad. It must be wonderful. A wanderer across the earth, living everywhere and nowhere. No destinations, no point A or point B, just the journey. There is nothing I would not sacrifice for this.
I am not satisfied with my collection of books. I must put more on my shelf. Knowledge is a gift, and I cherish every ounce I can get.

Same here!
Even full shelves feel barren! I should start finding more book shops around me. Antique titles are too hard to come by.
