Sometimes I wonder , if life is worth all the effort. We put in so much effort to learn to walk, talk and survive. Even more so to earn a living and try to get a reputation just to die in the end and start all over. Is it worth it?
Sometimes it seems like its just a game to the gods above. They watch us struggle for everything and live through this shitty life all so that we could die one day and start over.
Seems pretty pointless to me. Won't you agree?

Maybe, each life we live, we become better. It does seem like a game or entertainment to those who have created us. At times, I have to agree with you that life seems pointless. I ask my mysealf why we do need so many bad things to happen to us just to teach us lessons of life?

Thank you everyone for such incredible responses to my previous journal entry. I have learnt a lot.

Alright, so I understand that this site is for goths and vampires but I just wanted to ask you all if there are other supernatural creatures that exist among us? Like werewolves, mermaids, Hybrids, etc? I did speak to one werewolf the other day however I thought it would be better to get answers here since it is compiled and easy to understand instead of going through a tonne of messages.

So yes, what about werewolves, Fairies, Hybrids, etc? I do know witches exist. I have met a few. Trained under one but soon realized that it is not my forte. What about the rest? And do we have anyone other than vamps and werewolves here? If yes what are you?

I know I might be asking too many questions and it might even start of annoy some of you however I assure you that it is not my intention. I am just an extremely curious person.

My humble apologies if I annoy some people. You can ignore my journal posts if you wish. :)

Alright, I have been asking a few people here but nobody seems to have a definitive answer so lets try and get the answer here.

My previous post was worthless and yet I had so many reads so I hope you guys will reply to this one.

I have read a lot of fiction about vampires. All sorts of folklore and tales. What is true?

Do you guys burn in the sun? Do you sparkle? Do you sleep in coffins? Do you turn into bats? Do you have fangs? Can you control the mist?

What are the powers and weaknesses of real vampires? How much is true? Answers of all types welcome here. Anything you know feel free to mention in the comments.

Well I will say this the day that we sparkle we are no longer a vampire but a fairy. as far as the burning in the sun it annoys us the feeling that I gather is pretty close to if you had a sun burn. The rest is irrelevant because it’s nowhere even close to a fact. although we do prefer a much more colder environment when sleeping.

To your first six questions 1) No, I dislike it but thank god for a nice pair of sunglasses. 2) NO, I hate Twilight it's a piece of crap movie. 3) No, I sleep in my bed I pull the covers over me like a bloody mummy. It's dark and cool in my room. I have to agree with Nikki we are still just people a good example would be that we are not eternal, but we do look very young for a long time. As far as the rules goes I agree blood lust we are very strict with them. however these days I personally don’t hold others accountable for some things.

I can bare the sun just fine. Yet I feel considerably drained during the day as opposed to the night. Day time is when I sleep better and night time is when I come alive. My awaken process started with insomnia.

I don't know if this is necessary. But anyways as it is a part of the getting started guide, I will write some stuff.

I am a huge fan of gory things. I am a part of the Gothic subculture that exists around us. All things dark are attractive to me. I have tried my hand at magic but it requires a lot of concentration, which is not my cup of tea.

I am an editor by passion and profession. But please don't think that being a journalist is the reason why I am here. Being here is mere curiosity.
