Kinda sad. I won't be able to torture Deity anymore with my chocolate cake and pizza binges. Tis a shame.....I have started the HCG diet once again. It is sheer hell. 500 calorie diet for 6 weeks. I'm warning you all, I might be even more cranky than usual in the next weeks to come :p

Doesn't look like a diet is needed from your pic....but if it makes you happy in the end... then best of luck. I know i could not survive on that diet so you're a lot stronger than I am :)

I watched a great show last night on ABC about the Tapes of Jacqueline Kennedy and was hosted by Dianne Sawyer. They actually played a nice portion of them, it was her thoughts about her late husband 4 months after his death. Jackie was an amazing woman, it was quite a show. Very moving...

A walk down memory lane

Growing up my step-dad owned a gas station with my grandfather, it was called Bob & Larry's Enco if memory serves me right it was an Exxon station and gas was only 36 cents a gallon. But I remember being 7 years old and walking the 10 or so blocks everyday to bring them their sack lunches my mother had prepared for them. You wouldn't dream of letting your 7 yr. old do such a thing these days.

My Grandfather also owned the little corner grocery store down the street from us. You could buy penny candy and a candy bar was only a dime. The store is now gone and serves as a parking lot.

Grandpa also owned a place called Lancer Lanes which was a bowling alley, arcade and a mini golf course. Attached to that he had a restaurant called the Red Shield, then it was considered fine dining. It clashed terribly with the bowling alley lol. My parents would take me and my little brother there as a treat once a week if were were good heh. We didn't go often :P But the restaurant has now been turned into a casino.

Grandpa and Grandma sold their numerous properties,retired and moved to Napa Valley some time ago. They have since passed away but I have these memories to remind me of a different time.

I'd really like to kill my brother right now. If only he didn't live clear across the country Grrrrr. I've told him before not to call past 9:30 so what does he do but call me 3 times last night starting at 11:40 pm and ending sometime past 1:00 a.m. Just to chat. Did I answer? HELL NO. And I got some mean lil' messages on my voice mail for it too. WTF?

I have major problems with sleep, I wake up consistently and never have a good nights sleep so I'm always tired. Thanks bro'

I hear you. I lost quite a few friends on that subject. They would "forget" I have to rise early for work and were phoning me at midnight. One time they got concerned that I wasn't answering my phone and they came round and rang my bell!

First and LAST time they did that. I chewed them a new one, and they said "Boy, you have too many rules for your friends. Piss off." :P

So I tell my son Justin and Pinja to get their Christmas lists together because I'm going to start early this year. Ha! And what do I find on BOTH their lists? A Play Station 3. Yes, that's right, a PS3. Now keep in mind that affording just one of these is going to be a trial.

So I've come up with a solution.

I buy one.....for myself.....and that way I can control play time MUAHAHAHA!

If momma ain't happy than no one is happy :P

When I was married, way back in the dark ages of the late 1980's, I had an old Commodore computer. Hubby absolutely adored this and spent many many hours playing pac-man or whatever the games were at that time. One weekend he locked himself in the spare room with the computer and I had to get the landlord to come unlock the door to get him the hell out of there. When the door finally opened, there was the dumbass, stark naked, sitting on the computer chair, eyes glazed from playing so long. I said "You're toast, asshole". I allowed him to put some clothes on and then had him escorted out of the building. Best damn day of my life. :P

I have new neighbors that have moved in across the street and it's kinda funny to hear their heavy twangy southern accent. I live in Northern Idaho and we don't get ANY sort of accents up here. In fact we don't have much diversity at all. Almost nil.

I was kinda wishing they had kids so Justin could make some new friends but all I see are adults.

Of course I'm sure they are thinking "I'M" the one with the accent ;)

I never knew I had an accent till I heard some chick on a news program being interviewed, she was from my area..dang. Apparently we cheeseheads really emphasize our "r's" at the ends of words like car, far, etc. She sounded HIDEOUS. Made me want to move.
