I am taking a que from a few friends here on VR and am letting everyone know that I would love to exchange Christmas Cards with anyone that is interested, I think its a great idea, fun and a way to show your friends on here you are remembering them during the holidays.

So just drop me a message and we can exchange :)

I have a technical question for those of you in the know. I checked my disk space to see which files were hogging everything, found that most of them were Google files as in, CF 1 files that are HUGE! And various other Google files. I have a lot of Jar files and executable files.

My question is: Do I need to keep these Google Files? What the hell are they for? Most of them are labeled rpm.cf1 or thereabouts....

HELP!

sounds to me like you have been quite the busy bee on google lol but i think those are just url history cache files

cf i believe are sendmail files and are usually encrypted to be unreadbale by the human eye i think they are mostly associated with unix administration

jar files are usually packed or compressed files i believe mostly used for archiving i believe they are associated with the java jar tool

concerning the rpm.cf1 files...many people tend to have problems defragmenting their pc when those files are present.

hope that helps

Yep, I did some more research as well. The guy at the computer repair shop told me not to get rid of them but I deleted them anyways and removed Google Desktop.

Got up at 3 this morning with only 3 hours of sleep to do the Black Friday, never have before but money is tight this year so I decided I would risk my life and limbs to save some bucks. So I get up and its raining and still dark of course, very cold here, get in my car and find that my windshield wipers aren't working *le sigh*. First stop was Walmart, OMG, I ended up near the end of the line that I needed, they gave us tickets labeled with the merch we came there for, mmmkay, lines were long, people were pretty nice actually. Next was K Mart, nightmare, couldn't find a damned thing, only a few checkstands open and people were cutting in line. Then Hastings where I had to wait in line outside in the rain, customers there were pushy, I pushed back. Then the mall.....can you believe that it was the easiest? Maybe God knew that I was near breaking point by then, I just don't handle crowds well and rude people really really piss me off...home now and going to lay down for a nap I'm kind pissy.....

We had a big family gathering, I felt a little odd since I was the only one there without a sweetie with the exception of my grandchildren and my youngest son who is 9. There were a lot of us there as I have 5 children and they had their children and spouses and their in-laws joined us as well. It was all very nice but I felt a bit detached from it all and like most holidays you spend so much time preparing and poof its over in just a few hours. I come back home and its just like any other day.

I wish I could "feel" something other than a complacency, its been so long since I felt truly happy and it really hit home today being around all those cheery content people that I call my family. At least they are happy and really thats a blessing in itself.

Getting ready to go to Poetry and Pie Day at my sons school, I'm sorry to say it but I really detest going to these school functions, all the little suzy homemakers and fake ass bitches. I'm sure there are a few legit mommies but I'm really not good at small talk or pretending. Its just not my bag of tricks ya know...I'm a stay at home mom because of my stroke but I will never be a PTA mommy, did that once upon a time and I just can't make myself act like I care anymore.

But my son is the center of my universe and today I will go for him and just seeing him happy will put a smile on my face.

Ah...if I had kids, I'd probably like the events...of course, I'd be the mom who would try to get more events in that the other moms would shrink at...I don't think they'd like to wear old sweats, roll around in the grass, or get a lil' messy with paint...Anyway, I guess you have to have fun for your son's sake, right?

Heading out to the salon for a Pedicure with 2 of my best friends, I need this, been kinda stressed lately and they serve wine so it will be just what the doctor ordered. Maybe some Christmas shopping after.....hmmm, maybe not, thats stressful uggh. Now if only they had some really hot "straight" guys to do the pedi hehe...

I took my son to see 2012 with me last night, it was amazing BUT my attention kept getting diverted due to the couple a few seats over from us. They reeked!! Like a fucking ashtray. It was so intense I could barely breath. I kept leaning as far away from them as I could get but even if I was on the other side of the theater I'm sure I would still smell them.

Now, you can poison your body with whatever you want thats your business but do I have to breath it in? I grew up with parents that smoked 2-3 packs a day, non-stop smoking, our house was perpetually in a state of fog.

When I was 19 my doctor had taken X-rays of my chest and said that I must be a heavy smoker by the looks of my lungs. I HAD NEVER SMOKED A DAY IN MY LIFE!! Still haven't. Hell I won't even go to my best friends house anymore because every time I do when I get home I have to strip out of my clothes, toss them in the laundry and take a shower. How sad is that...

I was told I was "difficult" tonight, imagine that lol. If by "difficult" you mean that I speak my mind and stand by my confictions and have a clear view of what I want and am going in my life, well then you would be correct. I have no time nor the patience for ignorance, liars, frauds and fools, so just move along.....Difficult can be intriguing I like to think ;)

Gimp is a fairly advanced piece of software. Best of all, it's free. You can download lots of brushes and other things around the web.

You can get it at gimp.org

There is lots of info there as well.
