black and blue black and blue and red
the ever reacurring colors on my bodys pallet
constant fade to yellow tinge and distant greens
ever returning in a rapturous rage
the questions beg for answeres
and the silence never tells
of the pain the black blue red blotches hold
only that its there
and shes wating for them to go
she wonders if its her
or if the hands that grip are just to firm
she wonders if shes the reason
or if the invading forces have conquered her
she wonders if its absolute
or if this terror should but end
black and blue and black and blue and red
shes seeing those same stripes again
crying she want to it to stop
and be cherished for all she has got
crying she begs for release
and to be free from this past she has fought
Crying and crying she cant seem to stop
all she wishes for is safety
all she wants is love
a world with no more bruises
a world with no more fears
and a family that loves her
and wipes away her tears

Great poem. So sad it a re-occurring theme for most women on here.
