This would leave you looking funny

You got to love this guy. This is a true story about a recent wedding that took place at Clemson University. It was in the local newspaper and even Jay Leno mentioned it. It was a huge wedding with about 300 guests.

After the wedding, at the reception, the groom got up on stage with a microphone to talk to the crowd. He said he wanted to thank everyone for coming, many from long distances, to support them at their wedding.

He especially wanted to thank the bride's and his family and to thank his new father-in-law for providing such a lavish reception. As a token of his deep appreciation he said he wanted to give everyone a special gift just from him.

So taped to the bottom of everyone's chair, including the wedding party was an envelope. He said this was his gift to everyone, and asked them to open their envelope.

Inside each manila envelope was an 8x10 glossy of his bride having sex with the best man. The groom had gotten suspicious of them weeks earlier and had hired a private detective to tail them.

After just standing there, just watching the guests' reactions for a couple of minutes, he turned to the best man and said,

"F--- you!"

Then he turned to his bride and said, "F--- you!" Then he turned to the dumbfounded crowd and said, "I'm outta here."

He had the marriage annulled first thing in the morning. While most people would have canceled the wedding immediately after finding out about the affair, this guy goes through with the charade, as if nothing were wrong.

His revenge--making the bride's parents pay over $32,000 for a 300 guest wedding and reception, and best of all, trashing the bride's and best man's reputations in front of 300 friends and family members. This guy has balls the size of church bells.

Do you think we might get a Master Card "priceless" commercial out of this?

Elegant! Wedding reception for 300 family members and friends: $32,000.

Wedding photographs commemorating the Occasion: $3,000

Deluxe two week honeymoon accommodations in Maui: $8,500.

The look on everyone's face when they see the 8x10 glossy of the bride humping the best man: Priceless

There are some things money can't buy, for everything else

there's MASTERCARD!

"Life isn't like a bowl of cherries or peaches; it's more like a jar

of Jalapenos--what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow...

I'd love to change this

There are times when members leave VR that are honestly a relief since they spent much of their time stirring up others and living for the drama they created. But then there are the ones who leave often for reasons we never know about that open up a hole that is never filled. I'm not talking about a lover or whatever you want to call those online relationships but a person who through their intelligence and or wit made themselves a part of this site that brought others joy. Such was TBone, I don't know why he left but I know I will miss him and the fun conversations we had. That man could make me laugh at one of my lowest moments and I think I was able to return the favor sometimes. If someone caused him to leave I hope you're dammed happy with yourself, you selfish ass for you cost some of us a good friend.

Sorry but this is funny

Why I fired my Secretary.

Last week was my birthday

and I didn't feel very well

waking up on that morning.

I went downstairs for breakfast

hoping my wife would be pleasant and say,

"Happy Birthday!",

and possibly have a small present for me.

As it turned out,

she barely said good morning,

let alone

" Happy Birthday."

I thought...

Well,

that's marriage for you,

but the kids....

They will remember.

My kids came bounding down stairs to breakfast

and didn't say a word.

So when I left for the office,

I felt pretty low

and somewhat despondent.

As I walked into my office,

my secretary Jane said,

"Good Morning Boss,

and by the way

Happy Birthday! "

It felt a little better

that at least someone had remembered.

I worked until one o’clock,

when Jane knocked on my door

and said, "You know,

It's such a beautiful day outside,

and it is your Birthday,

what do you say we go out to lunch,

just you and me."

I said, "Thanks, Jane,

that's the greatest thing

I've heard all day.

Let's go!"

We went to lunch.

But we didn't go

where we normally would go.

She chose instead a quiet bistro

with a private table.

We had two martinis each

and I enjoyed the meal tremendously.

On the way back to the office,

Jane said, "You know,

It's such a beautiful day...

We don't need to go straight back to the office,

Do We?"

I responded,

"I guess not.

What do you have in mind?"

She said,

"Let's drop by my apartment,

it's just around the corner."

After arriving at her apartment,

Jane turned to me and said,

" Boss, if you don't mind,

I'm going to step into the bedroom

for just a moment.

I'll be right back."

"Ok." I nervously replied.

She went into the bedroom and,

after a couple of minutes,

she came out

carrying a huge birthday cake ...

Followed

by my wife,

my kids,

and dozens of my friends

and co-workers,

all singing "Happy Birthday".

And I just sat there...

On the couch...

Naked.

How Odd!

05:58 Sep 17 2007
Times Read: 988

I have been somewhat quiet lately mostly due to a project I've been working on with my house. It's fun and a bit exciting but some work too as we're very close to going public with it.

But there are other reasons too. Some of it is a strange mood that has me in it's grip. I'm having trouble finding my "happy" place if you will. Oddly enough part of that is because several of my friends here are hurting and seem to be at a loss as to how to pull out of it too.

I know it sounds stupid but I truly feel bad when my friends are hurting, especially emotionally. When they feel fear, distress, anger, heartache and grief I cannot get them off my mind and I want desperately for them to feel better. I know it's dumb and you cannot fix things for everyone but how I do wish I could ease their pain at times.

Why is it so much easier to cry for your friend than to find that release for yourself?

So very much I don't understand about emotions and honestly I don't really like them very well either. It's so much easier to remain uninvolved and aloof from others. But so very hard to get back to that state once you loose it.

Ideals to Ponder On

06:57 Sep 15 2007
Times Read: 998

Had a very interesting conversation earlier in my house forum. Learned some things and thought of something that does effect how I felt about a happening here on VR that was on my mind a lot.

I work very hard to always keep in mind that this is all a big game to most yet sometimes I find myself letting one little thing or two slip thorugh and my reactions are based completely on my real life viewpoints.

Most of the time I find humor in all the drama here and am so well aware it has little impact on real life, though from the way some act I'm not sure they've given "the real world" a try yet.

But am I any better? VR is my escape from a lot of responsibilities that keep me tied in place with few opportunities to talk to other intelligent life forms. The 2 year old and my Mother simply don't count as one makes as little sense to me as the other, most of the time. At least here I can talk with other people that sense there is more to the news that what is reported on CNN and will humor me about my own weird ideals.

Forum Fun

19:08 Sep 12 2007

I went over to the Main Forums and saw a lovely see of purple closed threads. lol What can I say I knew Stabb was back in action. No complaints for few cut through the bull with as straight a path as he does. No offense toward any other dominar for they all work hard and I have no problem with them.

The sandbox has been so full of the same type junk that people are soon going to have to resort to looking up what roman numeral to put by the name it's gotten so old. So I finally thought of something that was both vampire related, a bit different and would require a bit of brain usage while still being fun and thus the post a vampire quote thread was started. It was slow going and still isn't racing along but a few seen to get the ideal of it and are playing along. There sure are a lot of Anne Rice quotes showing up though. Glad I didn't say I can't stand that woman. lol I'd be murdered by proxy here if I did.

A Loss

17:53 Sep 12 2007
Times Read: 1,018

I have discovered some follks have left VR that I will miss for very different reasons. Nianna aka Lottie has felt the need to walk away from VR due to her health and the aggravation being caused by others to her. Why cannot people treat others with respect especially when they are already dealing with real problems?

The other was a new person I have been watching since she was level 2 and I first rated her profile, Proserpere who jumped straight into the Coven of Purgatory when she made level 5 even though I and I'm sure many others were hoping to tempt her into their societies too. I don't know why she left but I was looking forward to seeing what new vibes she would bring to the rave. I will miss that now.

My first Response

Okay I've been an Acolyte for a few days now but there are quite a few of us and the questions are answered pretty quickly when they do come up. So far most of the few questions I've seen were very technical aspects of htlm questions that I couldn't possibly answer. I didn't even try to mess with them. But today there was finally one that I not only understood but knew the answer to it. I'm posting it here just because I want to remember and because the person was kind enough to send a thank you. I see a lot of other acolytes posting some of the rude stuff they get so here's one for the good guys out there.

I finally got off my arse and edited the article I wrote some months back on The Vampire Tour of San Francisco and submitted it to the member articles and it was accepted! Wow I was thrilled. Yes, I know many of you find this quite childish and silly but to me it was an accomplishment and if you feel that way, why are you reading this? lol Everyone have things they enjoy and this a goal I had set for myself a long time ago. Not long after I joined the site really, it just took me much longer than I thought to find something I wanted to write about for it. When I did write it, I kept having trouble with the beginning and finally got some advice from friends in the Coven of Oppressed Debauchery and fixed the problem. Thank you very much.

I enjoyed it enough I will do it again but I just don't know what about yet. But it will be fun to find it, I'm sure.

Doesn't it figure?

Well due to circumstances beyond my control I find myself now getting about 150+ channels of television instead of the 20 I used to get. I've had this about a week now and I have discovered something very interesting---- there's still not that much stuff to watch and I don't have the television on anymore than before I got the extra programming.

I find myself unable to really enjoy sit-coms as most are simply too stupid to appeal to me. No I'm not that smart they have just gotten that dumb. Have all kinds of movie channels now but I've yet to watch a single one as I don't like spending that much time sitting in front of the idiot box unless I've got my friends around me to debate and pick apart the whole movie. On my own it's just not that interesting.

A book and music playing are so much better than TV but there you go, I've got all this television but not one damn rock radio station can be picked up in these hills that plays anything hard or newer than 1989.
