In a lot of pain today, had a doctor apt in Lexington yesterday and the trip N went fine but the drive back became a nightmare when I hit a construction backup. Whoever is doing this job on I75 is a pure idiot they put up warning signs that one lane would be closed about 7 miles ahead of where it was actually closed so of course everyone either comes to a complete stop in the right 2 lanes while the fast lane turns into a drag strip for folks determined to get ahead of everyone else.
The actual area being worked on is less than 1 mile of 1 lane but instead of waiting to line up and go slow there idiots have turned 7 miles before the actual construction area into a parking lot.
It took 2 hours and 45 minutes to go the 9 miles I had to cover to get back home. I would have taken US25 but in some brilliant move the powers that be have decided to close part of it for construction too! Kiss my ass, every one of you who make these kind of decisions without seeing what else is going on in your area!
That much time spent riding the brakes to go 1 mph has left me with one messed up right knee and even my ankle has swollen up. Yes I have power brakes but since it's up and down hills through the construction zone you have to keep you foot on the pedal the whole time.
To make it really fun, it's cold and damp with more severe storms bearing down on us today. 3 tornados the day before yesterday, thankfully they hit open area's with no one hurt but we can only pray to be as lucky again today.

With ya on enough with the storms. And know what you mean- worked half a day with the boys cleaning up the truck from the coal move, went to Mom's and did some things to get ready for the Dr. visit this afternoon, took dog for ride while Dr. there, then home to do laundry that has piled up since last week.
Add feet that are so sore...... ice see ice bag ahead for me tonight.
Sorry the ride back was so bad, long. :(
Maybe go out for a hot dog Friday night?? :)
