Last night was just awesome! Got to meet Morrigon who was just as cool in person as she is online. A healthy sense of humor, common sense and just serious enough not to be silly. Pai is georgous and forgive me for saying so but perfect for her owner. They just fit :)
I was a bit nervous about what we would talk about but I knew Rat would make everyone at home, so there was plenty of talking going on.
My only complaint was the time went by so fast that the visit was over way too soon.
oh oh oh and I got pictures!
Back in August when I got my new car I promisied to post some pics of it and I just now found them where I'd put them but forgot to make the entry.... duh okay I'm struggling apparently this fall.... as scary as it might be I'm looking forward to Winter actually getting here.
Anyway this is the vehicle I decided to buy a 2010 Chev Equinox, it's silver with a black and white interior, I can say that with the cold weather I have learned to love the heated leather seats which I didn't expect to do but since they were standard with the package I wanted on the vehicle I'm glad. I confess I'm hooked on the OnStar and the satalllite radio too. lol
Here's what it looks like:

It looks just lovely :) Way cool and I dig the registration plate name too!
Ooh purdy!
She travels in style now boys.. in style. :)
Oh yeah in style, since the kids claimed the back seat it'll never look that good again. lol Oh welll it's safe and comfortable for us and I love the gadgets (onstar, hands free phone especially) I hated giving up my car for an suv but with my bone problems it was just no choice. :)
Still trying to get over this lung infection and coughing myself to death in the process. Today 2 friends of my niece (a brother & sister) have been spending the day with us. More snow fell last night so no school today and since about 9 am this morning it's been me with my 13 year old niece and my 6 year old nephew with their friends 13 and 10 all inside my small living room already crowded by the x-mas tree and stuff.
This on top of already being in with the kids 3 days now I'm more than ready to scream. There's been several fights (I got to break up) and at least 3 attempts to break out and go play in the snow even though no one brought dry clothes to change into and their parents didn't want them out in it.
Honestly the one who's been the best kid today was Adam the 6 year old autistic! He at least acknowledges that I'm speaking when I tell him to do or not to do something.
Now I'm sitting here in the room with them all piled up snacking on popcorn while Invader Zim's first season plays and they giggle and laugh and I flinch. lol
Since a lot of snow melted off today (yeah I know it'll refreeze tonight to ice) I had a brief hope of school tomorrow but the call just came- No school tomorrow and there's been the mention of a sleepover!
Cross your fingers folks things could get freaky around here.

~hugs~ hope you feel better soon dear
JEEBUS- trapped in the house with lidlets. You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din. Maybe you should put them to work stringing all that popcorn for the tree, or to hang out for the birds in the snow- and I'm sure the stayovers can wear something of the other kids' clothes, at least until their clothes go through the dryer...
At least playing in the snow would wear them out some
And we go into day 4 of no school.
*evil laughter, gives the voodo doll another shake*
It's been a rough ride this week, started off okay lots to do but seemed possible. Had a doctors apt Tuesday afternoon and the waiting room was full, I headed to the "well" room but since it's just a corner of the same waiting room I don't think it's very effective. The apt went okay, trying one new medicine and go back in a month. This cough is back almost as painful as when I had pneumonia last winter, I'm not willing to spend another year coughing all the time so if this doesn't work then I'm finding someone who can help me.
The "well" room didn't work by Wednesday, I was feeling under the weather and it just got worse and I have spent the last few days sick. Today's the first one I've even tried to do anything even getting online. But I think I'm on the mend finally. First weekend of real snowfall and I didn't even get to razz Rat and Birdie about it! :(
On top of all that I've been worried about my Uncle Bud and trying to get back to see him again while I can when I get a call about my uncle Estill, he went to the doctor last week for pain in his neck, since he's older everyone includig him was figuring arthritis but instead he's got stage 4 liver, lung, bone and brain cancer. :( Maybe 3 months according to the oncologist. This one was right out of the blue as he's always been healthy and active. He raised a big garden this year and is constantly active in his church, volunteering to help anyone who needs it. Two of his 3 son's are here now to see him but the eldest is still a question mark.
When he came back from Vietnam he couldn't deal with it and spent long years living on the road or like a hermit finally ending up married and semi stable down in Florida somewhere. I guess he knows his state wouldn't be helpful to his dad right now anyway.
As soon as I'm well I'll go visit with him and Uncle Bud while I can and deal with the upcoming losses when I have to which will be all too soon. It's going to be a sucky winter, in my family!
