The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

I am often amazed by how some people take websites sooooo seriously.....



Now hold on a minute because this is not about me throwing stones. I happen to live in one of those glass houses....



VR has been a home away from home for me, I have "met" some truly awesome people and more importantly I have learned a lot about a lot of different things...



I am not around here much, although I do log in at least once a day just to check in with things....I know that I am not making the most out of the site bit that is ok with me....this is what I need right now.



In my real life I talk a lot - it is the nature of what I do. I have to make the decisions, support family, council folks, guide others...and fight with stupid people. VR is a place for me to sit back, shut up and learn.....hopefully having a laugh or two along the way.



What I don't get is ..... well.... why folks leave. I get the drama mongers and the attention whores...this is not about them. It is about the people that build a nice little niche, find a great coven / house, reach out to people and then Poof - decide to delete.



This has happened to me twice now.....I got to know two great people who in the end just ....... vanished. One at least had manners to say goodbye. I sort of feel hurt......silly I know - I mean these people did not KNOW me .... but still........there is this small sense of abandonment.



Life will go on, as it always does, and I am sure that those of you that have been around here since the dawn of time will tell me that this is the way of VR or the web for that matter.....maybe I am too old....maybe the millennials (that is what corporate America calls you young people) will think that this entire entry is stupid.......and maybe they are right.















But it still hurts............just a little.

Don't worry I feel the same way. It's more the not knowing than anything else I think, and the wondering if there was something that could've been done to prevent or help it. *shrugs*
