I finally have a few moments to sit down and scan through events here on the Rave. The weekend was busy……Had dinner with some friends and then attended the opening of another friend’s bar. I am not sure that he chose the best location (it is hard to see it from the road) but if he can get a regular cliental it may work.
I spent Saturday shopping - Halloween is almost upon us and I REALLY need to get my butt in gear. (Every year I throw a party for the neighborhood on my front lawn) I cook all sorts of treats and fun stuff. I am getting quite the following! I live in a somewhat conservative town and it makes it easier for people to see me as the nice woman who really enjoys Halloween instead of that crazy Witch………. Learn from your adversaries people! You think that you celebrate Christmas in December because that was REALLY when Jesus was born………nope it was just the ancient Christens converting the pagans over during the Winter Solstice……
Anyway back to the weekend…………Saturday night I went out with some friends to a new Sushi place that I have been DYING to try. It was well worth the wait!
Today more shopping – this time with my little one and then off to a birthday party. I have to tell you I do not know who was more tired – her or me!
Hopefully this week is less eventful…..I could use a break.
I am sitting here watching the windows light up with flashes of lighting and I wonder if it is you dropping in to say hello. I miss you tonight - much more than I should, but I cannot help it.
I swore I saw you the other day - stupid I know - but for a moment, just one moment everything was back to normal.
I still try to understand what made you do it - what was the overwhelming moment that made you leave. So much happened that I was not there for........so much.
I remember the times where two hours would not even pass without us speaking.....all the times where you could not sleep and I stayed on the phone with you until I heard your rhythmic breathing. Funny how things turn out....
I hope beyond all hope that you are happy and that you have found what it what you sought so long and hard to find.
All I know is that I miss you tonight - much much more than I should.
Friends - I am not going to be around this weekend. My little one is sick and I need to focus all my attention there.......I am so behind on my messages now that I am sure some of you are cross with me.......please be patient - I promise to message as soon as I can.

Among the many things that this world has to offer two of my more favorite things are Legos (step off they are the COOLEST) and Eddie Izzard.
Today at a corporate retreat I learned that some of Eddie's shows have been "acted" out in Lego format....I am going to post a ton of these in my journal but this one below is one of my favorites....
Ok - while I feel so grumpy I have another issue that i would like to rant about for a moment......

Stop - Stephenie Meyers never said that she was Pulitzer material. She was just a woman that had a crazy dream about a vampire and a girl and decided to write it down. The story grew and grew and like so many others she took a stab at sending it out to see what would happen……
Know what - JK Rowling did the same freaking thing
These are just two people who were among the handful of lucky people that send their books to publishers and actually get them published. I do not care who you are or how “cool” you try to play it – you wish you were them. You do – we all do. All of us want to be recognized for something – ANYTHING – that will make us truly immortal……
On a side note – I HATE Steven King…….the man takes 80 pages to say one thing. Oh and he thinks that he is “risky” by always killing off some of the main characters or letting the bad guy win. Lame Steven – just lame.

I feel the same way, and find it utterly ridiculous that people make comments that she can't make vampires do or be a certain way. It is a book, it is ART... she can create the way she wants to!
To put limits on a writer's imagination is communist bullshit. If it isn't your cup of tea, find something that is.
It's also 'young readers' material... it's not supposed to be overly sexual or gruesome. It is exactly what it should be, in my opinion.
I would agree - in that I would argue that everyone has their own tastes, and not all things suit all people. One reason I generally reserve my opinion on such things until they're asked for...

I am still so "effin" annoyed at that stupid Watchman movie..............ugh
Last night i did not have any plans so I thought that it would be the perfect opportunity to rent a movie and just chill.
As I browsed through the listing of movies I noticed that The Watchmen was available so I rented it.
BIG MISTAKE
This atrocity was the WORST thing I have seen in all of my life! The plot was stupid, the acting TERRIBLE, the story line WAY too hard to keep up with and the details all to horrific. This movie was 3 hours too long!! Who the hell created this garbage?? They should be shot – or at least have their movie making rights revoked!!!
Now I know that there are going to be purists out there that tell me that this was a brilliant film. That the flaws in the "superheroes" are “gritty” and that they depict real life.
Know what I say?
YOU ARE AN IDIOT ............. there I feel much better. Now if I could only get my money back....
