Restless as a statue,
It feels a lifetime to wait,
Yet a moment to strike,
Holding my breath longer than holding my position.
Twilight approaches,
Rolling in thick like fog,
My Heart quickening in pace,
I can hear your footsteps among the grasses.
Laying in wait-- shifting,
I watch you grow uneasy,
Being watched causing your blood to boil,
The hour has arrived.
Rushing upon your flesh,
The energy pulsing through your veins,
Down to the ground like tumbled stone,
How I've waited to kiss you like this.
