I've seen some actions recently that fit with what this article points out. It has some really good information and I think could be a bit of a wake up call to a person/persons in this type of situation.
Is My Partner Emotionally Abusive?

Damn, it's been me all along! I'm such an asshole! O.O
Yeeeeeeeeppppp.
If you have a personal issue with one of the staff members (Regent, Administration, Dominar, Sentoran, Procurator, etc) there is always another staff member that you can message and address your concerns or questions to. If you choose to go that route, I am pretty sure that none of us are going to get bent about it. We're adults, we get it. We also know how to not let or personal feelings get mixed up in situations we have to handle.
Cancer has never been shy in removing a member from position. There is a reason why many of us have held the positions we've held for here for a long, long time. If there was any question about Cancer's team not being on the up and up, we'd be gone with a quickness. That's just the way it is. He has to be able to trust a member in order to give them the positions he gives them. This is his business.
The absurdity of some things are just completely and utterly mind boggling. Don't believe everything you read.

People need to open their eyes to anyone who tries to make it seem like Cancer or any other admin is an enemy.
I know people want to take things at face value, to believe in the person or the cause. They need to realize though that sometimes these causes are either not the full story or just a smoke screen for what's really going on. Two things that happen more often than not when people throw out the corruption claim.
It's just so lame when its clear of what's going on and yet that smoke screen still keeps flying.
And willful ignorance :(
Willful ignorance is the worst. I wish people would 'adult-up' and stop letting that stuff go on.
I know many of the administrators. We may disagree on outside topics from time to time, but not on site issues. I, for one, will always side with Cancer and the other administrators.

I think Slain reposted that from me. 😂
I spent a large portion of my life hearing "You must have heard me the wrong way", "You're imagining it", "I never said that", "Owlish is lying", "I remember differently", and over time, you start to self-gaslight. You start to tell yourself "they weren't that bad, I must have exaggerated the behaviour. I must just be sensitive. I can't take a joke. I clearly am too soft. They never meant to hurt me. I'm sure I just took it the wrong way. I must be the issue."
Shit is toxic.

My ex did this. For 10 years I dealt with it and then when he upgraded to physical abuse I asked for a divorce. He put a gun in my face and told me I wasn’t going anywhere. He admitted to everything to the judge but then tried to tell her I was exaggerating to make it worse because the gun was only “pointed in her general direction” and “her and our daughter bruise easy. I didn’t hit them that hard.” My favorite was “She’s bi polar so her mind makes up scenarios all the time and she believes them because she’s crazy.” I represented myself because I couldn’t afford a lawyer. Even with his hotshot lawyer he didn’t win that one.

Oh oh!!! My absolute favorite line “If she’d get on meds I’d take her back in a heartbeat and forgive her for everything she’s done.”
Yeah.... let that one sink in.

Owlish.. Once you've started on that path of self gaslighting, it can be a hard thing to get off of. Been there, got the T-shirt. lol We're all a bunch of image stealin' thieves.
Fluffy, I'm sorry you had to go through that kind of toxic garbage. It sounds like a nightmare of an experience. From what I've seen of you 'round these parts, it looks like you've got a good head on your shoulders. Glad to see you got out of it. :)
