Although it's been several months since the passing of my four-legged daughter, Lady, I still miss her tremendously as I always will.
I know that there will always be more animals in need of being adopted into loving, nurturing homes and I was thrilled when I found this 2 1/2 year old rescued Pit Bull.
Her story was one that touched my heart after I learned of the abuse she has experienced including being force bred repeatedly since the time she was first able to conceive.
After spending some time with her I noticed her sweet and warm disposition regardless of everything she's been through. I knew I wanted to be the one to give her a loving, nurturing home for the rest of her life.
Last week I filled out the mandatory paperwork in order to adopt a guard dog from the shelter and the home inspector will be by this coming week to ensure my home is adequate to meet her needs. However, I've been working to ensure that my home is more than plentiful for her.
She has a few medical needs I'll need to attend to ASAP because of her past, but I'm hoping to have her here with me by the end of this coming week.
