An irrelevant argument.
Origin
Some may disagree with the above meaning and argue that it means 'a point open to debate', rather than 'a point not worth debating'. That former meaning was certainly the correct one when the term was first coined, but that's going back a while.
Laurence Humphrey, the president of Magdalen College, Oxford, wrote Nobles or of Nobilitye, a manual of behaviour for the English nobility, in 1563. In that he wrote:
"That they be not forced to sue the lawe, wrapped with so infinite crickes and moot poyntes."
In medieval England, moots, or meets, were assemblies or councils where points of government were debated. The country was split into juridicial areas called hundreds and administered via assemblies known as hundredmotes. The form of government has long since vanished but the term hundred is still in use as the name of the procedural device which gives consent to MPs' resignation. British MPs aren't allowed to resign and, when members wish to leave Parliament they may do so by applying for the notional position of Crown Steward and Bailiff of the Chiltern Hundreds. In such assemblies points which were put up for discussion were said to be mooted.
The change in meaning has come about following the introduction of 'moot courts', which are session where law students train for their profession by arguing hypothetical cases, i.e. 'moot points'. The lack of any substantive outcome from these theoretical cases has led to the 'unimportant/not worth discussing' meaning of 'moot point', which is what many people accept today.
A further step, and one which it is to be hoped doesn't gain public acceptance, is the spelling as 'mute point'. This is a simple mistake, deriving no doubt from the fact that 'moot' is an archaic word with little other usage apart from in 'moot point' and that 'mute' makes some sort of sense when allied to the 'not worth discussing' meaning. This mistake isn't restricted to recent years. The earliest example of it that I can find is from John Hutchinson's Philosophical and Theological Works, 1749.

So to get it back on thread I shall discuss my practices and before I do, NO I dont want you to believe it but this is what I do and will still do if you beleive it or not and NO, I shalll not be providing proof as I have nothing to prove I am just stating my Vampiric Practices as I am a Vampire (y)
The most ideal way for me to feed is directly from a donor. If willing I prefer that the donor allows me to obtain blood from them, usually using a catheter which is a needle that goes directly into the vein. I take no more than 20ml at any one time and no more than a pint in a month. This is the cream for me the best source of pranic energy I can get.
However finding a donor long term for this type of feed is hard and at the moment I am faced with having to feed from pranic energy off a donor directly using energy manipulation.
I do this by relaxing the donor and then extending my aura into theirs and blending with them to become as one. I then mentally visualise and feel the energy in each of the donors chakrs draining into mine.
I feed this way at least once a day at the moment but prefer twice if I can
I also have a donor who lives in Denmark who allows me to feed from her using astral projection and I feed from her in the same way as I would if she were next to me save that I project my aura through the astral plane until I connect with hers and I do this through a sigil or meditation.
Just so she knows I love her to peices for letting me feed from here and I am so much a part of her as she is becoming a part of me ;-) you know who you are

It seems lately that I have more sad days on VR than happy days of late
I'm very lucky in a way because there are a handleful of people on here that make my time spent here worth while.
Drama seems to be the big issue and people getting hurt by others because of lack of understanding and compassion makes it a sad place sometimes
I just spoke to a lady and her message brought a tear to my eye and memories of sad times I had shared with my wife once. My heart goes out to her.
I'm lucky that I have some people here to make it all worth while and my thoughts are with them, thanks to Aracon, if it wasnt for the coven I wouldnt feel it worth while to come on at all except for XTCraver, thanks for giving me the chance to pass on some stuff that I know, its an honour to teach you, you always make me smile when we talk and thanks to Lovise whose words make me laugh so much tears roll down my cheeks and not forgetting Gordon, my strange australian friend who is witty and probably doesnt even realise it

It beggers belief why these people bother to frequent a Vampire Forum which is clearly going to be a forum full of people who are vampires/vampyres?
I ask myself why?
Probably because there own sad lives are worthless and useless, they have no sense of belonging and wish to drag people down to there depressing level.
You find these self effacing self proclaimed experts on every forum around the Internet...
My advice is, stick up for yourself against the bigots, do not let them drive you out of your forum, your place of fun, keep stating your case even though it shouldn't be this way

An old lady struggles with her dirty bags to cross the underpass leading out of cardboard city, her vomit covered dress and scraggly hair make her a frightening site for the eyes. I'm freezing despite the thick layers of clothing I have on, the cold has managed to seep into my bones. The dungeons are a very harsh space to live in.
I step over 100's of used needles and beer cans to help the old lady to her feet. She was beautiful once, you can tell by looking at her features. Through the dirt is a strangly youthful woman. She hissed her thanks to me and locks her fingers onto my wrist. I find myself being dragged along, the woman having far more strength in her than I first anticipated.

I have been doing what I can, counter measures of magick, boiling my cauldron and dosing the homeless with my potions. Its kept the TROLLs away but i'm running out of steam. "You need to get help Mr Beltaine, much more help." "I'm Rosaleen by the way and i'm a witch"
We finally arrived at her flat, she plunged her whole head into a cauldron off water and when she finally looked up I was amazed.
She certainly looked the part, her eyebrows plucked into high arches, her whole face, framed with jet black hair, a pattern of striking black curves which resembled nothing so much as one of her paintings which were hanging around her walls. She was now calling herself the leader of a witch cult and whilst the "cult" never seemed to amount to much more than a few friends gathering in her small flat for occult talk and the occasional friendly ritual, this was too good to believe.
"There were about eight or nine cult members present. They all wore hideous masks so were quite willing to be photographed, although they pointed out that there were certain rites which could not be performed before outsiders or cameras."
Later Rosaleen Norton changed into her witch's outfit. She was nude except for a black shawl over her shoulders. A cat mask covered her face, but did not prevent her smoking from a long cigarette holder.
She laid herslf spreadeagled on the cold floor, her body in the shape of a pentagram. Her coven spread around the circle were chanting in a language that even I did not understand. She ushered me forward and I stepped into the circle. My clothes were tore off me and I was pressed down on top of Rosaleen.
The ritual sex was fantastic, and the juices bottled for the next dosing of the masses of homeless potential victims of the TROLL.......................................................
I get the feeling that this is the help she said I needed.
I felt used as a walked the streets of Kings Cross, bottle in hand, dazed but at least warmed. I'll stay here till New Year but no longer. If Titan wants me here longer then he can come and keep me company.
