The day that I saw him, I couldn't believe my eyes. The parking lot was crowded, the cars covered all the spots. The school bus had left, and kids were getting into cars, or walking elsewhere, to their home, a friend's house, or to another place to play. I? What was I doing? I was going to walk home, seeing the trail I was to take past the parking lot between some trees, but on the way there pick some lilacs to put in a watered glass when i got home... and perhaps use one of them to press in a book, to preserve for as long as I could.
"Gabrielle..." Called a male's voice. Recognizing my name to being called, I turned to see a young man, in a red t-shirt, faded blue jeans, dirty-blonde hair... and glowing green eyes, his right hand held out to me to beckon me near him, his eyes not leaving mine. He was familiar, but then again... he was not. When my eyes gazed into his, I froze in my walk, and noticed not a person was in sight, but the parking lot was still full of cars.
Fear hit me, but not just fear. I wanted to go to this man. However, I decided to run away, feeling that I somehow belonged with him, but the sense was that of darkness, of which when as a child, seemed to fear more than anything else... though... little did I know... my life was dark, and always would be then after...

I wake up, remembering it was a dream again. Sighing, my hand finds it's way to my forehead, feeling it burning again. I always dreamed of what the Christians call evil, the demons, or the dead, or the vampyres. I couldn't always just call them dreams... some of them were nightmares, and some of them, they were real. Like this man who called to me so many years ago.
Although, I knew that the Christian's demons were not accurately "demons". I myself was not a Christian, but I also had no problems with them either, unless they were so narrowminded that they believed their way was the only way, and looked down upon those who didn't believe in their God.
However... I knew what that man was, now. He was my Sire, and started to awaken me at such a young age, the age of six.
He was one of the few vivid memories. What were the others? Darkness...always pitch black. "Demons". Vampyres. Spirits that are trapped in this world. I dont remember much of the mundanes in my life... other than my little brother at times. Funny how this all works out...
My mind seemed to have made me forget every memory I had, other than my dealings with the supernatural. My family, I did not know, for I was indeed orphaned, and adopted at a young age. Now? What was I now? I was a Wiccan, an ex-criminal, an honors student, an artist, a teacher, a student, defender and healer as well as a vampryic. I am also a wife in a poly relationship, done by a handfasting. The man and woman I lived with are such kind people, and they are the ones who took me in after I ran away from my foster family.
I am not the only one drawn to the unseen forces and creatures to this world...
Elina, and Adrian are both vampyres, into studying every religion, lifestyle and belief known to mudnanes and non-mundanes alike. Having enough of my reflections, I brought my head from my forehead, as if it was my hand that made them flow to my mind.
Sitting up, my long black hair, that reaches my ankles when standing, was shielding my face from the moon's light, as well as the soft lamp light in the opposite side of the room. My own moon-pale body covered by only a blanket.
Though, I was married to Elina and Adrian, my true fiance laid beside me, curled up into a ball on the other side of the bed, his head resting on the pillow.
"Lucius, wake up." I whispered softly to him. His pointed ear pulled back for a second, hearing my voice. I watched as he opened up his eyes to reveal his crystal clear blue irises and pitch black diamond shaped pupils. He yawned, stretching, making sure not to tear up the pillow case as he did so.
"What is it, Gabbi?" He asked softly, sniffing at me, feeling my uneasiness.
"The Sire came to my dreams again." I told him. His wise eyes watched mine as I looked into his.
He got up and laid on my lap, stretched out.
Petting his head between his ears, I watched as he wagged his tail slightly.
"Did he say anything?" Asked Lucius. I shook my head in reply, and moved to rise from the bed. Since it was just night, I could rise and get ready to start my half of the day awakened.
Yes, I know it's cliche for a vampyre to awake at night, but not for the reasons you think. My eyes, so sensitive to light, prevented me from going outside, so I took a full time day job (having a home office) slept about three hours of the day at most when done, and wake up at the last rays of sunset.
"Gabbi, are you going anywhere tonight?" Said the wolf, his eyes watching me get dressed in my usual black (again, cliche, but I look good in black, so sue me) outfit, a long sleeved hoodie, black jeans. and high heeled black boots, the tops coming up to my knees for support. After putting on my clothes, I brushed out my long hair, thinking about what to do tonight. Perhaps I'll go to a blood bar... or maybe just walk the streets.
I put up my hair into a ponytail that rested just above my ankles, barely an inch. Underneath my hoodie, I had on a blue and black corset top, the corset itself was completely black but at the torso, and you could see through the lacing at the front, it had silk material underlaying the front of the corset, with blue lotuses and black roses, a darker blue background to it.
"I suppose I'm just going out. I'll be back quite a bit before the sun rises, don't worry baby." I said to him sympathetically, rubbing his head again, and kissed the top of it.
My own french ultramarine blue eyes gazed into his, and then walked out of the bedroom, and down the stairs, to the parlor where I would see Elina and Adrian.
