There are 5 members in 'Chateau Orleans'. We are a valid society, and there is no quota for the number of any society's membership. Some may have a low membership because they are picky, they're idiots, or simply because that is the way they want it. Thing is, we can create Covens just because we want a society to be exactly what we want, and Cancer allows it. If he says it's kosher, it is. Doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

Our society goal is one that is very unique. I didn't create it to be like any other. What would be the damn point? No one makes the rules but the big cheese, Prince. Thank God.

I only have a problem with the ones that gather up to a 100 members or so just to get favor, than boot way over 75 percent of them later on.

I'm guessing because the person who said it has never had to run a Coven. That would be a good reason not to be offended.

I don't know... still offended. I am the one with the 5 members. If you've never run a society, maybe you should understand you have nothing to go on in making such statements. I would never do that.

Not all people think like that though, no matter how much better it would be if they did.

Some make judgements based on what they've seen from the sidelines, yet not truly experienced.

Even if they don't think like that... from a very quiet Coven whose never bothered anyone, and being a seriously active Administrator on this site with my other profile, I've done nothing but GIVE to VR. I wouldn't deserve that kind of treatment simply because of what I have dedicated and continue to do.

Just stumbling upon journal entries that shit in my general direction without provocation, kinda puts me in a funked groove. And I don't mean bustin' out pristine dance moves.

I used to only want to be in covens because they are smaller. Until someone has actually had to do more then just moderate the forum they really have no idea what goes on in running a society.

They just need to keep their mouths shut until they run their own niche.

Plus I wouldn't want a big group of people I don't think are quality. Everything they do on the site would reflect back. :/

The societies are all about whatever is clever for that group... that is why they exist, so they can be personalized. People like different things.

the Coven is what the Coven Master/Mistress wants it to be. Other's opinions have no value. Do not let them get to you. It is YOUR coven to do as YOU see fit within the TOS and vr manual. Other then those 2 rules...no one has a say on it. They should just STFU if they do not agree. If they wish to express constuctive comment then wout wout do so! Otherwise. Silence is gold.
