I got a large "True Rose" Yankee Candle. They burn for 150 hours- so I can keep that rose smell for 5 months (if I burn it for an hour every single day) instead of a few days with real roses (although I'd still love REAL roses). Sweet deal at almost $10 off right now at Bed Bath and Beyond. I also got a white leather iPad case (ordered it, not here yet).
Possible furlough for government employees has been pushed forward to later in the year (*if* it happens)... so I was able to do this much. I picked the items out and bought them myself, for myself.
I'd mentioned in my other journal a few times about needing to get rid of our old sofa after getting the futon- well, a friend of ours is having a garage sale to raise money for his son's baseball team: score! donating it to him to earn some money for that cause.
Happy Valentine's day to those who don't hate it, lol... I don't. But if you know me, you know I love holidays. I don't and never will have a beef with them.
My dad used to get us kids little boxes of chocolates for V-Day. It wasn't about romance then, it was just about tradition and a special moment... Like birthdays, any other celebration. It was never about just 'being loved one day a year', it was about a special holiday. You either like them or you don't, and I always have. We always loved trading cards in class and coming home with a big stash of cards and looking through who gave what.
So I have annually done as my father, and do the same for my son. He came home to a teddy bear, card, and candy on his desk- and he made me a card :). Then we took him to Subway for dinner... Because even though its cheap, it's his *favorite*.
Yes, I have messed up my imagesinwords journal by trying out a code- now my journal when clicked on reroutes to another URL. Waiting for Cancer's assistance to fix my dumbassery- then I can blab in that journal once again. Until then, Remember this is me, too :P Here's a video I made compiling pics from Lundi Gras day-

Wowza!!!! How fun!!! Lucky you...
Goes on the bucket list- once in my life I must see this. :)
That boy of yours has the most wonderful smile. I really do love the colours but I don't get the beads thing, is it just for decoration or is it something that has a story?

Luckily you have this account. Can't wait for the code to be fixed because I can't live without your journal lol!
Thank you.

So best way and way to get the MOST hours without "tunnelling" is to trim the wick to 1/4" and then light the candle. Leave it lit until wax is melted to the sides of the container. When it is liquid- then blow it out, and before next burning trim wick again.
If it is soy candle or soy blend: you can trim to 1/8" and that will maximize burn time. :)
