Wax Binding (to get someone to shut up!)

18:54 Jan 22 2009
Times Read: 686

On A Saturday, at 9 pm. Light a black candle.

Have a piece of paper with the person’s lips on it. Draw it, or whatever.

Get the lips and say “ You are _____’s Lips” Kiss them and so mote it be.

Gather all the memories of them talking and pissing the hell out of you. Or just a few, feel the annoyance. Light the candle and allow 9 drops of wax to fall on the lips and say

“Wax, wax drops on your lips.

Sealing tight, your voice doesn’t exist.

Don’t speak unless your spoken to,

Don’t annoy me, Don’t disturb me.

As I will, so shall it be”

Meditate on your spell and so mote it be.

Tie the lips and burn them or bury them. But you should burn them, because fire is destructive.

Candle Magic Basics

14:20 Jan 22 2009
Times Read: 690

1 One of the simplest of magical arts which comes under the heading of natural magic is candle burning. It is simple because it employs little ritual and few ceremonial artifacts. The theatrical props of candle magic can be purchased at any department store and its rituals can be practiced in any sitting room or bedroom.

2 Most of us have performed our first act of candle magic by the time we are two years old. Blowing out the tiny candles on our first birthday cake and making a wish is pure magic. This childhood custom is based on the three magical principals of concentration, will power and visualization. In simple terms, the child who wants his wish to come true has to concentrate (blow out the candles), visualize the end result (make a wish) and hope that it will come true (will power).

3 The size and shape of the candles you use is unimportant, although highly decorative, extra large, or unusually shaped candles will not be suitable as these may create distractions when the magician wants to concentrate on the important work in hand. Most magicians prefer to use candles of standard or uniform size if possible. Those which are sold in different colors for domestic use are ideal.

4 The candles you use for any type of magical use should be virgin, that is unused. Under no circumstances use a candle which has already adorned a dinner table or been used as a bedroom candle or night-light. There is a very good occult reason for not using anything but virgin materials in magic. Vibrations picked up by secondhand materials or equipment may disturb your workings and negate their effectiveness.

5 Some magicians who are artistically inclined prefer to make their own candles for ritual and magical use. This is a very practical exercise because not only does it impregnate the candle with your own personal vibrations, but the mere act of making your own candle is magically potent. Specialist shops sell candle wax and molds together with wicks, perfumes, and other equipment.

6 The hot wax is heated until liquid and then poured into the mould through which a suitably sized wick has already been threaded. The wax is then left to cool and once is this has occurred the mould is removed, leaving a perfectly formed candle. Special oil-soluble dyes and perfumes can be added to the wax before the cooling process is complete to provide suitable colors and scents for a particular magical ritual. Craft shops which sell candlemaking supplies can also provide do-it-yourself books explaining the technicalities of the art to the beginner.

7 Once you have purchased or made your ritual candle it has to be oiled or 'dressed' before burning. The purpose of dressing the candle is to establish a psychic link between it and the magician through a primal sensory experience. By physically touching the candle during the dressing procedure, you are charging it with our own personal vibrations and also concentrating the desire of your magical act into the wax. The candle is becoming an extension of the magician's mental power and life energy.

8 When you dress a candle for magical use, imagine that it is a psychic magnet with a North and a South pole. Rub the oil into the candle beginning at the top or North end and work downwards to the half-way point. Always brush in the same direction downwards. This process is then repeated by beginning at the bottom or south end and working up to the middle.

9 The best type of oils to use for dressing candles are natural ones which can be obtained quite easily. Some occult suppliers will provide candle magic oils with exotic names. If the magician does not want to use these, he can select suitable oils or perfumes from his own sources. The oils soluble perfumes sold by craft shops for inclusion in candles can be recommended.

10 The candles you use can be colored in accordance with the following magical uses:

white- spirituality and peace.

red- health,energy,strength,courage, sexual potency.

pink- love affection and romance.

yellow- intellectualism, imagination, memory and creativity

green- fertility, abundance, good luck and harmony

blue-inspiration, occult wisdom, protection and devotion

purple Material wealth, higher psychic ability, spiritual power and idealism

silver- clairvoyance, inspiration, astral energy and intuition

orange- ambition. career matters and the law.

11 If you wanted to use candle magic for healing, you would select a red candle to burn. To pass an exam, burn a yellow candle, to gain esoteric knowledge burn a blue candle or for material gain, burn a purple one. It is obvious these colors relate to the signs of the zodiac and the planetary forces.

12 The simples form of candle magic is to write doesn't the objective of your ritual on a virgin piece of paper. You can use color paper which matches the candle. Write your petition on the paper using a magical alphabet, such as theban, enochian, malachain, etc. As you write down what you want to accomplish through candle magic-- a new job, healing for a friend, a change of residence, a new love affair, etc.-- visualize your dream coming true. Visualize the circumstances under which you might be offered a new job, imagine your employer telling you that your salary has been increased or conjure up a vision of your perfect love partner.

13 When you have completed writing down your petition, carefully fold up the paper in a deliberately slow fashion. Place the end of the folded paper in the candle flame and set light to it. As you do this concentrate once more on what you want from life.

14 When you have completed your ritual, allow the candle to have completely burned away. You do not need to stay with the candle after the ritual, but make sure that is safe and that red-hot wax will not cause damage or fire. Never re-use a candle which has been lit in any magical ritual. It should only be used in that ritual and then allowed to burn away or be disposed of afterwards.

15 If you are conducting a magical ritual which involves two people (e.g. an absent healing for a person some distance away) then the second person can be symbolically represented during the ritual by another candle. All you need to do is find out the subject's birth date and burn the appropriate candle for that zodiacal sign. These are as follows-

ARIES red

TAURUS green

GEMINI yellow

CANCER silver

LEO orange

VIRGO yellow

LIBRA pink

SCORPIO red

SAGITARIUS purple

CAPRICORN black

AQUARIUS all colors

PISCES mauve

All: "So mote it be!"

Priest and Priestess circle while chanting:

Hecate, Hecate of visage dower,

Dark Mother, Dark Mother come in power.

Priestess takes chalice: "Dark Lady, Mother of night, we thank you for your presence and wisdom. (pouring liquid into libation bowl) as the fruit of the vine was plucked and pressed, it came to know the touch of death and thereby we are sustained and carry on!"

Priest takes cakes: "Likewise as the grain of the field ripened and fell beneath the scythe it came to know the touch of death, whereby we are sustained and carry on!"

While cakes and wine are passed around all will chant:

and willingly offer

to thy realm that which is old and outdated,

that which no longer has life and no longer grows.

We offer to thy Blade that which

we no longer need.

(Priest stands and lights cauldron)

Priestess draws invoking earth pentegram in front of Priest saying:

Of the Mother darksome and divine

Mine the scourge, and mine the kiss;

The five-point star of love and bliss -

Here I charge you, with this sign.

Priest: "Here ye the words of the Dark Lady; we who of old was called among men Hecate, Persephone, Kali, and many other names."

Priestess: "Worship me as the Crone! Tender of the unbroken cycle of death and rebirth. I am the wheel, the shadow of the Moon. I rule the tides of women and men and give release and renewal to weary souls. Though the darkness of death is my domain, the joy of birth is my gift."

Everyone in turn ignites their petition off the cauldron and tosses it into the cauldron.

Priestess embraces each person as they go by.

Priestess: "And ever it was thus! That which falls to the hand of the crone finds regeneration and new life!"

All circle and CHANT:

She changes everything she touches and

everything she touches changes!

Priestess: "Grandmother! Blessed thou be Depart to thy realms. Thank you for the lessons learned this dark night! Blessed be!"

To Give Someone A Dream

02:25 Jan 02 2009
Times Read: 726

You need; -- A dish of earth, a cup of water, a candle (check color correspondences for what ever kind of dream you will be sending) and some incense (any kind, this just symbolizes air). If you have an altar it should go in the middle of wherever you are placing these objects. Put the earth to the North, the incense to the East, the fire to the South, and the water to the West. Then sit in the middle by your altar or just in the middle. Visualize the dream you wish to give and when you're done visualizing say this:

"Lord and Lady I ask of thee

Give me the ability to send forth this dream

Across the earth or water's bound

Whether he/she be in the sky or on the ground

By the power of fire to let it shine bright

By the power of earth and air to send it tonight

By the power of water to sweep within dream's door

And by the power of 3 shall (name) remember it evermore"

Sleep in the knowledge the dream will be projected to the person you have visualized. Be sure to go through every detail of what you wish to send.

How To Cast A Circle

01:26 Jan 02 2009
Times Read: 728

Why bother, and how to do it? These questions probably cross your mind from time to time.

The "why" has a few answers: Some cast a circle for protection, some to shift between the physical and etheric planes, some see the circle as a container used to store energy until the right moment to release that energy towards a certain goal.

Now, everyone casts a circle in his/her own manner. A circle casting can be very very elaborate, or very simple. We'll start simply:

The idea behind every basic circle is like a child setting up a tea party. Cleansing equals the set-up, calling in the deities/elementals/beings you wish to have present is like inviting the other children (or stuffed animals!) over, and the ritual is the actual party. The act of "casting the circle" part of casting the circle (if that makes any sense) is like setting a boundary between the attendees and the uninvited.

Setting up involves cleaning the area, physically, psychically, and energetically. Clean your practice area so you can move as you see fit. Cleansing with elements can be done by smudging with incense, carrying a candle around, asperging with blessed water, setting out stones around the boundary of where you plan to work...or a combination of any of the above. My method? I start in the northeast with my besom (broom) and walk counter-clockwise (widdershins) to "sweep out" negative energy first. Then I go back to the altar, take my incense (fire and air combined), bless it, then walk with it clockwise (deosil) to replenish the freshly-blessed air and fire energy. Back to the altar, consecrate and bless water (and add in 3 pinches of salt to make earth and water combined) so sprinkle that around clockwise to replenish the freshly-blessed water and earth energy.

I personally call in the elements before casting the circle, then cast, then invite the deities.

Calling the elements (watchtowers, elementals, etc) can be really simple: "I welcome the Air to my circle"...you can say this in your head while visualizing a breeze blowing or whatever makes you feel like "Air" is specifically present. Traditionally, people go to the East side of the circle to call the Air first, then South and Fire, then West and Water, then North and Earth. Some people do it differently...that's where reading and research is necessary to find out different methods and decide what works best for YOU. However, there's nothing wrong with trying it different a few times until it feels right...something might sound perfect when you read it, but how you feel when you actually do it is the key.

Casting the circle...you can use a tool (wand, athame, sword, staff, etc.) or just your finger. I begin in the northeast again, point to the ground with a tool or my finger, and visualize a beam of light flowing from the tip to the ground. I walk clockwise around the circle, say something simple like, "I cast this circle to create a boundary between the world of man and the realm of the divine" while visualizing that beam of light trailing behind, forming a wall or shell that the divine and energies I allow can get through, but nothing that I want to block out can cross. When I get to the starting point, I sometimes will bend down and tap the starting point like I'm connecting the two ends, and say something to the effect of, "My circle is now cast and whole!"

Now that everything's all set up, I invite my guests of honor: The God and Goddess. Sometimes I choose particular deities, but usually I just work with them as "God and Goddess." I light a candle and welcome them in. Don't demand that they join you ("I SUMMON you to join me!")...and don't be meek "Hi, um...if you can, can you please join me?'). Know they will come and greet them like you're greeting an expected guest at the door. "I welcome you to my circle and thank you for providing your energies to my work/ritual/celebration." Give them a vessel in which they can stay...a candle, a statue, a picture of each one, a stone representing them, etc. I usually welcome the Goddess first.

Now's time for your purpose of casting a circle...be it for meditation, a sabbat or esbat ritual, a spell...

After the main working, I hold a simple feast...some food and drink to replenish myself. A slice of bread and a glass of juice works, and it's suggested that you leave a small libation for the energies you were working with. Bless your juice, pour some into a bowl, and then drink. Bless your bread, break off a piece and put it into the bowl, and then eat. You can leave it somewhere or bury it when you're cleaning up afterwards...the idea is to visualize that those energies who are your guests are partaking of the food's energy (though maybe not the physical matter) before you just toss it in the garbage.

When I'm done, I thank the deities in the opposite order in which I welcomed them. Again, it's thanking them for coming...not saying "The party's over, so GET OUT." When you feel they have left (though they are always present) snuff the candles. So for example: "Thank you, Lord, for joining me in this ritual. Merry Meet, merry part, and merry meet again. (Wait a moment, then snuff God candle...then move on to Goddess candle.)

Then I cut the circle and either "absorb" the light back into my tool or finger (while walking counter-clockwise) or I "erase" it. Again, when done, I say something that completes the action, "By my hand, this circle is now erased and this area is returned to the realm of man."

Then, I wave goodbye to the elements...go to the North and thank Earth for coming, then West and Water, then South and Fire, then East and Air.

Finally, I return to my altar and make some sort of statement that the ritual is now complete. I usually do some kind of action like ring a bell or snuff out the last candle that marks the final moment...like a judge using his gavel and saying "Case closed."

Oh...and don't forget to clean up your area when you're done.

You can make this even more simple by sitting in one spot, visualizing a shell of energy growing up around you, and welcoming the elements and deities in your mind. Or you can be more elaborate with dancing, a script of flowery language and all statements in rhyme...whatever works for you.
