When I was child I was called dyslexic and some call this learning disabled

I saw things differently then most and had to take speech therapy and felt cornered at the table

They said I saw words and numbers differently then most my age

I felt alone and was really shy, almost like I was in a bird cage

I have confuse from left to right

As a child after school I would draw my thoughts and sight

I was told because of this I would never amount to anything or get very far

I was told I was a dreamer and not a glorious child that shines like a star

I had a hard time talking to people on how I felt, due to speaking incorrectly being a fear

I never spoke for when I did as a child, they would laugh at me and grind a gear

I was a child no one understood and was told there is no where to go from here

I said to myself so what? I shall prove them wrong and show all children who have this disability that they are dear. And have the possibility to be in the moment there....

That because we don't think with our brains the same way it does not mean that we can not be something wonderful and something more

You are the creator of what you want to be and expect that and understand that and wait for what is in store.

I am not perfect, never claimed to be

But I know I am the beautiful child within me

I know that god gave me this gift to be a creative person and a growing flower

I say to you dear one that is reading this book you have the power

To go farther then any other person in this world

She started reading from the bible something about hell

I looked at her and said read chapter 6 of genesis and then tell

Me where hell came into play for I am one of those people Adam and Eve did find

People of other gods and I am doing just fine

I asked her a question that left her jaw open for a while

Which was Lilith was the first Eve and she was banished for she did not want to submit to Adam for she was like he, and yet Eve was the issue of sin by giving him the fruit of knowledge.. Riddle me this? Why are there two types of women in the world and only one man? with a smile.

Her jaw opened more when she claimed to be a child of god

I said yes you are and I am a child of the goddess with a wink and a nod

She asked me how I know the bible so

I said I studied it and you never let our people go

A year ago I met this African American man

Who asked for money and did handle a pan

He was asking for change so he could get a hot meal on a cold day

I took him inside store and asked him what he would like, and did not know what to say

No one had ever given him a choice to what he wanted to eat

This was unheard of to him and such a treat

We sat down at a table

Asking if he could keep me company and is able

To eat his meal with me

As other people stopped and stared at the bum to see

Why I would spend my time finding out his story of life

His name was Marcus and believed in God Christ

He looked at me and asked me what my faith was, for this was a sight

I said I believe in the father to provide for all

No matter how big of small

He told me his story of his cancer and how he had to leave his home

So he divorced the one he loved and started to roam

The cancer was terminal and no one could afford his bills

Not even his family could help pay for his pills

So he went to the government and asked for help and they did

People pasted us a woman and her kid

The kid looked at me and asked why I was eating with a man who has not home as far as she could smell

I smiled at her politely, he is human as you and I, he deserves food and he has a story to tell

The mother tried to drag the child away, and she said Jesus will send you his love

I smiled and looked away and took a breath and looked above

I looked at her and him and said I was pagan Jesus has nothing to do with my faith, and I accept his love

She smiled and said have a nice day, and looked up at the lights above

Marcus told his story sad but true

He had the clothes on his back and did not know what to do

Walking town to town to get food and drink

Cleaning himself down in a bathroom sink

This man had a job once and a family too

But he is now alone and has a choice of food what shall he do?

I fed him well as far as I could see

This man was staring straight at me

He said you have Christian tendencies for someone who does not belong

I smiled and watched him pull out his one and only book the bible to which he was strong

He asked me if he could read the passage he read today

The 23rd psalm I knew well but didn’t say

He was a man of god and was helped by someone who understands

That its about loving everyone even the poor man

Being homeless is not a disease it is sometimes the only way

To pay bills for health, and make a new day

After our meal I gave him $40.00 and he cried in tears and was blown away

He asked if he could ask my name, I gave it to him and he asked if we could pray

I did with this homeless man and many others

Remember that man or woman on the street is our sister or brother

Being homeless is not always a way of life

You to could have lost your job and run from your wife

To make sure the burden was not on her but on you

This is a said story but it is so true

Remember and understand

That you are grateful for what you have and your fellow man

To have a child is a blessing and gift

So people don’t realize why I choose not to oogle at children, and walk off in a fit

I miscarried when my mate died

I was so depressed and cried

The loss of your only love can tare you life and world apart

I was not strong enough to live

Then it happened to me, and I had not eaten or had a means to give

I had no clue I was pregnant and that I was not alone

Then I sat one day while talking on the phone

I had to hang up and go

I went to the bathroom and blood and a fetus did flow

I looked at it like where the heck did this come in?

When did this happen and was it a sin?

As I discovered there where more out there like me

Who did grieve

And could not move on achieve

I had no clue I was not alone and there was the next loss

All I could do was cry more and life was just death that I had to cross

When interacting with others who have children and felt this loss they did find it hard for the interaction

A baby coming by on the side walk was a main attraction

Love died and brought me to my knees

Leave me alone if you please

I walked on by with out a word of awe how cute that baby is

Who freakin cares? Mad and jealous what all it is

I realized that day

That it was not for me, is what I would say

I lost a child I do not feel the ever loving need

To tell you that I lost it and did bleed

I am your average woman with a chip on her shoulder

As I grew it got worse and I got older

I mourn the loss of both the ones I lost

It seems forever but do I find happiness and at what cost?

It was not my fault he died and then she did die too

I went to therapy and realized what the therapist said was true

I need to make a new day

I need to live in a whole brand new way

So I write this for all to understand

If you have ever been thru this then you know you are a strong woman

You can handle that? Then you can handle anything and it makes you strong

It takes time to heal those wounds, and belong

It is okay if you need to cry, and run

But understand there is a new day and you are the answer to someone’s problem, so have fun

Be encouraged to vent and think about it

You know sadness happens and you can not fight it

Life is a beautiful mess

Whatever you do in life just know this shall pass, as well as the stress

You are a beautiful and strong woman

I hope you understand

And really know your heart and soul

That your world is not over but a new chapter that is on a roll
