We have been updating the house in one way or another, since August when we moved in.

In November, I invited my mother out for Thanksgiving and she insisted that she be allowed to paint something while she is here. So, we agreed on her painting the kitchen and dining room. I did the ceiling (which she hates doing), I then prepped the walls, sanding and washing them for her.

People were worried about my mother painting, but we bought her a ladder where she can paint and hold on.

The difference:

Finished Product:

Next, we put on a new roof. The roof was 15 years old on a 20 year roof. I decided that instead of patching it, to just get a new one and not have to deal with it again. It came with a 50 year warrenty on parts and labor. We also had them replace the gutters with gutter guards on the back where the trees are.

Next goal, to paint the house to match the roof lol.

The last thing I did, was painting the extra bedroom. It has a wood trim around the window and we felt a nice green would work well. Here is a before and after picture.

We just finished replacing all the screens in the house, so we can open it for spring without the flies buzzing us. I washed the outside of all the windows in the back of house. I had to use the paint scraper, to get most of the windows clean. Next week, before vacation, I will go through and clean the windows from the inside and clean the house. I hate going on vacation and coming back to a dirty house.

Well, its official. I'm having an Multiple Sclerosis attack. I currently have a dullness in my feet and legs. Other than that, I have no symptoms. Usually, there is pain and fatigue but none so far. The doctor decided against the steroid treatments, because at this point the side effects would be worse than my current symptoms. Trust me, this makes walking interesting.

Hopefully it will hold off, for our vacation. We are going to leave next weekend, to go and visit Redqueen and to see Vancouver, British Columbia. This was a surprise for LordV's birthday. Puppy let the cat out of the bag unfortunately. But LordV and I are planning on going to the Vancouver Aquarium, some of the open Markets and lighthouses. Just to simply enjoy our time with friends and a new place for his photography.

*********WARNING: RANT AHEAD*************

As most of you know, I have Multiple Sclerosis. The most annoying thing, is for someone to tell me, that it was all my fault. That I did something in my life, to cause the MS, or that God is punishing me for something. Like MS is like Lung Cancer or Liver damage, due to smoking and drinking. MS Society continues to play the blame game, stating it is something I did in my past. Yeah, here is a hint. I was born. My mother has Multiple Sclerosis. But nobody else in our family does. So according to the MS Society, my mother did something in her past, that caused her to get MS. Then she passed it onto me.

Then explain to me why MS is more prevalent the closer you get to the poles? Then explain why a whole village in Norway has MS. If it was something I ate, why didn't the rest of the people in the area I grew up in, get it. They said I didn't get enough Vitamin D/Sunlight as a kid. Sorry but I remember all the sunburns and blond streaks in my hair from being outside playing softball and swimming. My vacations were spent in Florida, out on the beach in the sun. Some state that I got MS because of aspartame. So, why didn't you get it?

Most people don't understand MS. The most insulting thing is for someone to look at me, after I tell them I have MS, they see someone who looks "normal". They don't see the spasms I suffer, the tingling in my feet at times, or when I have an attack, the lack of feeling totally from mid-back down.

I would rather have someone ask me about MS and admit their ignorance, than for them to believe the hoopla they hear in the news. Through Middle and High School, I was deemed a liar, because I told everyone my mother had MS. I was called a liar, not only by classmates that knew my mother but by teachers that felt they knew better. Why? Because she walked. Everything that was shown, in the propaganda at that time, only showed people in wheelchairs. So, I was deemed a liar and someone looking for sympathy because they felt I lied about my mother.

Truth of the matter, 85% of MS patients are like me. Standing, walking, working but you would never know they have MS unless they told you. So, to the MS Society. I AM NOT TO BLAME. My mother is not to blame. So why don't you get off your ass and use the millions of dollars you collect to find a cure or a real cause, instead of taking the easy way out and blaming the patient.

Ok, now I understand the problem people have with typing out full words. They are typing in pilgrim. I call it Pilgrimese.

I was exploring my ancestor, Francis Cooke and came across his last will and testament. This was the first line of it. "I being att prsent weake and Infeirme in body yett in prfect memory throw mercy Doe comitt my soule unto god that gave it and my body to the earthe; which my will is should bee Intered in a Decent and comly manner;"

I'm sorry but doesn't that look like text messaging? Dropping all the vowels? See, we are just regressing back to pilgrim times with our texting and typing. Yeah....that's it. lol.

Great. The more we advance technologically, the more we regress fundamentally...
