Updated: Maddie isn't in Renal Failure!!!!!! WHOO HOOO!!!!
The vet called to tell me the results of the urinalysis. She has a ph imbalance in her blood, which are causing crystals in her urine. Just a diet change and she should be good. Eventually the mast cell tumors will effect her, but she is good to go now.
Such a sigh of relief. My baby is gonna be around a bit longer.
Well, we are at the height of our stress for the week. We are told by our lender, that the underwriters passed our loan application and are getting approval from the USDA government loan office. Once we get that, they will schedule a signing of all the papers and two days after that, we will close on the house. So possibly this Friday. *Fingers crossed*
I noticed that Maddie was doing the butt scooting doggie routine, so I made and appointment with the Vet, for her anal glands. I wanted to talk to her about some of the other things I was seeing with Maddie and get her thoroughly checked out.
Made has a "fatty tumor", over her hip. We had noticed this before and had immediately gotten a aspiration of it, to look for cancer cells. It was clean. It was orginially only a couple millimeters big, but in the past month it has more than doubled in size.
People have been wondering where I went, well lets see:
-Missing Harley for some reason. She died two years ago, but I find myself thinking of her and breaking out into tears. I miss her so.

WOW, Hon that is Beautiful , I love the house. the area is very pretty .
WOW! That is wonderful looking- the town and the house. I can't wait till you write that you have the keys in hand. Best wishes to you both.
*cross fingers*
Count my fingers and toes in as well- the area is beautiful, the house is great, and I wish you both all the luck in the world- I just know this is the one for you guys.
It looks really nice, and also looks like a good fishing area as well.
I went to my first Multiple Sclerosis Support group and I ended up going head to head with the leader. She wasn't being supportive, as much as a dictator. She kept asking what medications I was on for my MS, I told her none, several times.
She insisted that I needed to start Copaxone immediately, or with my next attack, I wouldn't be able to walk. OMG scare tactics much?!?!?!?!?
For those of you that don't know, I am no medications for my MS and I am very healthy. I have feeling in my feet, energy and other than fatigue, it doesn't effect me much. All I take is vitamins and go to my chiropractor and I am kept "functional" as this woman says.
She then gave me a list of the 40 some odd diseases that "MS caused" and the list of medications she is on. She also told me that I needed to be on an antibodic all the time, to keep the UTI's at bay, since all people with MS get UTI's. Sorry but anyone that suffers from Colitis, Diverticiulitus and Celiac disease, are going to have a waterworks problem. IT ISN'T CAUSED BY MS!!!!
She kept saying that I should listen to her because she has "survived" MS for 26 years. Sorry but MS isn't a Deathly disease like Cancer. You might die from complications of MS, such as when the disease attacks your nerves that control your heartrate and breathing, but it isn't that severe until Stage 5 and people rarely get to that stage. I pointed out that my mother was a "Survivor" too, of 38 years and she is still "functioning".
I was so furious, at the misinformation this woman was dishing out and how belliegerent she became when someone spoke instead of her. When I got home, I put a call into the MS foundation to create my own MS Support Group. I got a call back this morning and it happens that I spoke to the "Leader's" supervisor. Her supervisor said she will give this person a choice, either change her attitude about MS and how she runs her group, or she will take her off all the listings and highly recommend all the other societies do the same.
So, after we get settled in the new house. (hehehe, yes, I have been keeping it a secret), I will put together one for the area. Wish me luck on both fronts.

Hey Lady, sorry to hear you have MS. Wonderful to hear you aren't letting it live your life.
I used to work in the Regulartory department of a bio-Pharma that was creating a cure for MS through DNA Vaccine. They are in Phase III trials now and it looks promising. Maybe check em out if you like. www.bayhilltx.com
There are too many people out there that think just because they have the problem themselves, that they are the resident expert- and act as if they have PhDs.
I face similar with people regarding Fibromyalgia. Everyone tells me what meds I should be on and I am not on any. Everyone is different. I've decided that pain meds and other things they prescribe end up being worse for your body in the long run. The same combination prescribed to me is what Heath Ledger died from. When I heard what they found in his system, I stopped mine. He didn't 'over dose', it was just the combination ended up deadly, literally.
I know not everyone ends up dying taking those things altogether- but my system always feels more out of whack when I am 'on' something. I deal with fatigue, headaches, chronic major joint/muscle pain, and digestive problems mostly. But do I want to merely trade that for other symptoms given by meds? NO, not really.
One of my best buddies just got evaced back to the states because he has MS. He just suddenly went blind in his left eye and didn't get it back for a week. They put him on some low dose of a medication I can't remember but the last time I checked, he was going to stop taking it.
Some peole think that just because they have an illness they feel the need to take every medication out there, some i think do it for the attention. I have known many people who have managed to keep a healthy lifestyle from sheer diet and will..don't listen to this lady, unless she has an MD behide her name.
Yeah, MD is what I meant as opposed to PhD :P
Good luck on both counts.
Wow I am glad you gave her what for, good luck on both fronts!
