There is always that one person who the shoe fits. LMAO!!!

Duhhh...every social media site makes money by, among other things, harvesting user data and sharing it with app developers and advertisers. Preventing those buyers from passing that data to third parties with ulterior motives may ultimately be impossible.

So I attempted to save time messaging family & friends by creating Group Messages. It's an option offered by Verizon Wireless.

However, a few issues occurred.

1. Once you create a Group Message, a message is automatically sent to the group notifying them that you created a Group Message, but this action is not made aware to the person that created the Group Message. WTF?!

2. The Group Recipients sees a (588) Area Code number that when Googled reflects a Mexico State Area Code. On the Sender's end, they only see their cell phone number and the numbers of the family and friends within that Group, but not that bogus (588). WTF?!

So I called Verizon and was told that the (588) Area Code Number is their Network Server assigning an ID# to the created Group. When I ask why a phone number listed as a Mexico phone number is being utilized, the Tech had no answer for me.

I deleted all my Groups after that.

WTF Verizon Wireless?

New parents learn quickly to be cautious of being pissed on when changing their baby's diaper. It's been a long time since I learn that lesson myself. So I must have forgotten that lesson when Bandit, who still has trouble with excitement and submissive urinating, decided to piss on my hand while I was attempting to change his waist-wrap. I turned him over onto his back to remove the waist wrap due to the way it had adjusted itself since he's a hyperactive puppy and he must have gotten nervous because that's when he pissed on my hand. It startled me and because I was startled, it startled him and he jumped up and ran into his sleeping area. I figured he may still have some in him so I just let him outside to handle his business.

Then to teach him that was NOT ok and he should not be nervous to lay on his back for a simple waist-wrap change, I had him come back into the house and go back to his sleeping area to calm down instead of having him participate in some playtime where he has me play fetch with him for about an hour before bed-time.

The next night I suppose he really missed playing fetch before bedtime since he didn't piss on me when I placed him on his back to see if he had learned to control his bladder. He had....And he wore himself out playing fetch...as usual. LOL!

So I remember being a Nube on VR and having a guy Rate a 10 on my Portfolio and I actually messaged him and thanked him, but told him that I didn't swing that way....LMAO! I didn't know rating pages regardless of Gender was the thing to do. LOL!

Then I remember rating a page a '9' and receiving a reply from that member thanking me for the rate, but wondering what their page was missing that could increase my opinion of it to give it a '10'? I thought, dayum, people take this rating thing serious...So ever since then, I give nothing but '10's or nothing at all.

Then the 'Honor' system was implemented and I cracked up at that one. It was just another way to single out those you like and those you didn't beyond the down rates and blocks. Very entertaining, but I saw it as just another tool for Coven Wars!

Lastly, I keep reading about VR not being the same as it used to. Well, I remember back in the day when I first joined, I thought VR was like another site called 'Vampire Wars' due to the fact that Covens were routinely attacking other Covens on here. 1 Rates and Blocks were strategically given out weekly. I must admit, it was kinda fun and hilarious. Coven Masters were like Generals waging war. Then a truce would be called and the damage done to profiles would all be all reversed. However, some people were still salty and took those temporary rates and blocks personal. Those are the ones who ended up getting blinded by their CMs for not repairing the damage they did after a truce had been made between the Covens. So if anything, VR, to me, has just gone from drama on a larger scale to drama just between a few members here and there, but I still love it!

I told her I would have never known it was about her if she had never informed me. Doesn't mean I still would not have found it humorous, but out of respect for our friendship, I wouldn't have 'liked' it if I knew it was about her.

Couples who are upset with each other should keep their shit off of social media. It is open to comments and all sorts of opinions.

Oh the Journals.....Such source of Levity from time to time.

I once thought the character 'Hannibal Lecter' from the movie 'The Silence of the Lambs' was inspired by Ted Bundy, but later discovered Hannibal Lecter was based on an actual doctor in Mexico, a surgeon by the name of Alfredo Ballí Treviño.

One thing that never ceases to amaze me is how different and unique each of us are. We come from different cultures, ethnicities, have experienced different life events that have shaped and defined our lives. Our beliefs. Our mannerisms. Our ethics. Our personalities.

I remember while in the military having to take Culture Awareness Classes prior to deploying to foreign countries since as Americans, what is acceptable and second nature to us can be an insult and a grievance to those of that host nation.

When it comes to the internet, it is wise to keep in mind that we are not all the same. Social Sites bring together people from all walks of life who encounter personalities and beliefs foreign to their own which can be challenging for some.

For example, eating beef is something that many of us in the USA have grown up with and we think nothing of it, but in a country where Cows are sacred, well, they could encounter quite a bit of a Culture Shock seeing pictures of burgers being enjoyed.

So before one feels that someone has "purposely" insulted them by what someone has done or said on the internet, just remember that YOUR reality is not THEIR reality and as long as they are not breaking any of the sites rules or laws in which that site must adhere to, then one has a few options.....Learn, Accept, Become Tolerant, or Block and no longer socialize with that individual.

It just isn't rocket science.

The way I see it, the internet is a tool to be used to explore that which many may not have the opportunity to personally experience. It is only a matter of time when one's reality clashes with another's.

Maturity is how one handles differences when one encounters them.

So I kept getting lent and residue on my clothes after washing them using the 'Quick Wash' option. So I opened my washer up from the back and looked around for anything that may have appeared clogged. Even removed one of the hoses and ran water through it. Nothing!

Because getting to the hose had me bending my wrist at an odd angle, I haphazardly reattached it and knew as soon as I did it, there was a high chance of something going wrong and I'll find my Mud Room flooded.

Yup, the hose came off and water spread out over the floor, but I was able to reduce the mess with towels.

I reattached the hose, but better this time and dried the floor. Found where a chunk of soaked lent was trapped by an outlet for the water within the washing machine and cleared that out. I also found my user manual and read what could be causing it and the recommended preventive actions.

Finished the laundry and all went well.

Now let's see if I wait another 3 months to put my clean clothes away....LOL!

This is something I posted after seeing a YouTube video where the content provider asked subscribers for their thoughts on a person telling them that they didn't want to be their friend anymore because they felt the YouTuber was a distraction. The other person was very attracted to this YouTuber, but wasn't willing to take things slow as the YouTuber wanted even though it seemed they both were into each other.

I feel it's very important to share your "expectations" of a potential intimate partner and of a relationship with that person if and when it reaches that level. The worst thing to do is "deceive" someone into believing you are what they are looking for and they are what you are looking for in an intimate partner and then switching up once you have them/they have you. By being up front, no one can say they didn't know. Often times relationships go wrong because of those unspoken expectations that aren't being met.

The best advice I've always lived by is just to always be yourself, love yourself, love your life and someone in the same communities you feel you belong to (e.g., fashion community, interior decorating community, religious community, etc., etc.) will see you enjoying your life so much to the point that they will naturally want to find out what's making you so happy.

If they are truly compatible with you, all else is just a series of compromises. Bringing two souls shaped by years of experiences, life choices & lessons learned, together can be a little challenging to sustain beyond the initial infatuation stage, but open and honest communication will help smooth out the rough edges. However, the foundation of letting people know what your expectations are, what you are looking for in the beginning stage once you have determined that person has a chance to leave out the Friend Zone is very important and will save a lot of time and heartache. If you are not what they are looking for in an intimate partner, then that should be ok. Being kept as a friend is ok too, but sometimes people just can't be friends with someone if there is no chance of them one day becoming much more and that too is ok and their Choice which should be respected. True, it's difficult to hear, "We can't be friends if we can't be lovers", but respect that that's what they are searching for and respect that you can't display a whole meal including a drink in front of someone who is starving and thirsty while telling them they can't enjoy it. It's not fair to them.

If you are the type that becomes friends first and is slow to allow a person out of the Friend Zone to become more, that's something you make known to a potential friend who is still at the 'Acquaintance' level, but shows signs of wanting to become a 'Friend or Close Friend'.

As far as how long it takes to meet that special someone...Well, that's the unknown that no one can predict. Just be patient and do you in the meantime.

I'm saving up to undergo sclera tattooing (tattooing the white of the eye) in a solid black color. Trying to get the person who claims to have invented the procedure, Luna Cobra, to perform the procedure.

I'm sure it will be a life-transforming experience....One way or the other.

If a person ever found themselves having to choose between Me and Someone Else.... AFTER...they said I was theirs.....Please Do Not Choose Me.

Why?

Because if YOU were truly mine....There would have never been another Option.

I've known people who hooked-up with a person and agreed to be in an intimate relationship with that person "exclusively" and then after a few disagreements, they start questioning their choice. While they are "considering" living life without their current pick, they meet someone else and find they have sooo much in common. They are sooo more compatible than their current choice. They may even go as far as to have sex with this other person and may or may not try to blame their actions on a number of things (i.e., alcohol, drugs, loneliness, etc, etc.) but hey, they made a CHOICE to CHEAT and at the time didn't really care about any repercussions. If they have time to remove clothing or give access to their genitalia to someone else, they have time to think about what they are doing.

I tell any female I'm with, that if at any point in our relationship they find themselves wanting to fuck someone else or developing emotional feelings for someone else, just break up with me...Go get their fuck on...and then deal with all that post break-up emotions afterward. Why CHEAT? I'll be just fine because they are not the type of person I want in my life anyway.

I watch this YouTube video where this chick confessed that if she's no longer feeling the person she's with, she purposely sabotages the relationship to make the guy break up with her because she really can't stand breaking someone's heart by being the one to end the relationship.....WTF?!

Allegations - a claim or assertion that someone has done something illegal or wrong, typically one made "without" proof.

Some say one is Innocent until proven Guilty. However, in some societies, one is Guilty until proven Innocent.

I love when people make an allegation and say they have "receipts" to prove it. I say, "Hell yeah, let's see those receipts".

If one's allegations can't be proved, then all they can do is hope those they've never lied to believe their allegation. I'm sure they will find some comfort in that.

However, if a lot of people are making the same allegations about someone else, but all of them have no proof, that may or may not sway public opinion, but can still do damage to the accused character unless the person being accused can turn around and have society question the integrity of those making allegations by proving themselves that those individuals have a history of being caught lying and/or prove that there is some sort of conspiracy to tarnish the character of the accused for some reason.

If one has a proven history of lying.....Their allegations, even if true, holds little weight. I call this the 'Cry Wolf Syndrome' in reference to the story of the little boy who cried wolf too many times.

One positive thing that comes from allegations that are actually true, but can't be proven is that moving forward, there will now be a cloud of suspicion hanging over that perpetrator's head and Karma will catch up to them and someone will then finally be able to prove the perpetrator's misdeeds vindicating all the previous accusers that couldn't prove their allegations, if the ones with a history of lying....Maybe....

@ Kahoali....Thank you. However, if you are referring to specific allegations made here on VR towards a member, I really don't keep track of them. My post was my thoughts on allegations in general. From the Bill Cosby drama to the "MeToo" movement, to the beefing going on between California and the Trump Administration, the Legal System, the Court of Public Opinion....and More! ^_^

I may not keep track with the VR drama and allegations being made among members, but I do see them when giving Honor and I may even catch a glimpse while reading Journals, but nope...Too many people with multiple profiles to try to keep track of who's beefing with whom. I mean, you can have one person with two different profiles pretending to beef with each other and it's just one person beefing with themselves for whatever reason. Maybe it brings them joy or they love the attention. Who knows....LOL!

@ Kahoali, I agree. I want to yell, "Prove Your Shit". Sadly, there are some smart ones that will do some negative shit when they are confident that their victim won't be able to prove anything or not leave a jury with 'Reasonable Doubt'. That leaves it up to Krama.

As far as TV....I stopped watching that Programming Tool long ago. The Internet is, in a way, making them almost obsolete. I use one by connecting my laptop to my Big Screen TV and watch live streaming shows and movies and other content that Big Cble charges high fees to stream to our TV. I say cut out the middle guy while also customizing what you want to see via the Internet for a wayyyy lower monthly fee for their service.

I remember back in 1988 meeting a Caucasian Female who confessed to me that where she was born and lived her entire life until joining the military she had NEVER actually come into physical contact with someone not of her own Ethnicity. That all she knew about African-Americans, for example, is what she saw on the News. That once she had the opportunity to actually meet and get to know an African-American, she realized that the News and even her own Parents & Friends had been actually lying to her and trying to enforce the stereotypes that they had been taught themselves from their family and friends. She had also been told that African-Americans hate ALL Caucasians due to the enslavement of their ancestors and would seek to do her harm at the first chance they got just because of the color of her skin..... Wow!!! Ain't that a bitch?!

Here is just a little of what it says:

- Portray negative stereotypes in the media. People from areas where not many blacks live will have only these images to base their opinions of black people on. Blacks meeting people from these areas will have to work harder to overcome stereotypes.
- These are processes that have hinder black people from advancing to their full potential in the United States.

In the process, it has given opponents (enemies) of black progress strong proof that blacks are inferior. For example,

- If blacks cared, they would come out an vote.
- Blacks are less likely to own homes.
- Blacks are more likely to be in prison.
- Blacks always play the race card.
- The media shows the truth (did you see the facts above?)

All of this is without going into some of the more heinous examples of actions against blacks in America.


Sadly, as long as IGNORANCE is passed on from one Generation to the next, Racism & Fear will never completely die out, but at least those that are Brave will actually be open to finding out the truth for themselves like the female I met and became friends with and pass on that truth to their kids, family members and friends to reduce the number of IGNORANT people in the world even though it's VERY difficult to change the beliefs of an individual who has been programmed to believe something since BIRTH and who may have had their negative sterotypical beliefs reenforced by the negative actions of the FIRST person they ever met from another Ethnic Group who too may have done whatever they did because they too have FEAR and are RACIST.

So, when meeting people of different Ethnicities, think of yourself as being an Ambassador (Representative) of your Ethnic Group(s) and don't be an Asshole Coward.

Me: Well, true, but anything you post on the internet has the potential of being viewed by anyone and everyone on the internet. You ever heard of 'Copying & Pasting' to another social site or having something screen-shot and posted to another site?
Her: And that's yet another reason why I don't journal or post in my Coven. I just read stuff and if I choose to post to the internet, at least it's my personal choice and not a set condition of the site. I also read small print policies.
Me: Awesome! Since most sites capture a computer's IP Addresses which can be traced back to a probable user's identification, I feel one gives up a level of privacy just by choosing to utilize the internet at all. I mean, have you ever posted something or conducted an online search and then get random ads about whatever you posted about or searched for? Everybody is selling user data to some degree.
