Just a blurb.



I think I made a new friend. At least I hope I did. And I usually don't hope for such things...laugh.



The new system for levelling up is firmly in place. I've noticed that EVERYONE wants to be my friend and have me read their journals as my absolute "faves". They want to mark mine. I hate to tell everyone: I'm just not all that interesting. And the most interesting parts?? Aren't left for the public eye in my VR journal :)



Yes..I know... You want to level up quickly. So do I (some days). However, I don't need a list of 300 friends that I do not even know the first thing about. I don't want to read news reports in your journal or read song lyrics, see youtube stuff, read the results of your latest quiz. I do NOT even know who you are. And while I'm YOUR friend and you read my nearly empty journal daily......(that is kinda creepy sounding) you have never even said "hello". What kind of bestie doesn't say "Hi" once in a while. What kind of buddy doesn't know your name???



Blah.



The Power of One:

I do not rate you a "1" because I'm mean or don't like you or am downrating you for some perceived vendetta. I rate a 1 because you have no pictures, no text....only "Just ask". "Wanna know? Just ask." Even saying "I'm a REAL vampire!" bumps you up to a 2. So we're rating the profile based on what criterion?



The criterion that you get what you give in this world? That's not "rating" per se. By coven rules, all members have been rated a "10" and added to friends and journals list. I'm all about the rules :)



However, I don't CARE if you downrate me a "1" (I'm already IN a coven and don't need the points to be accepted into one). If you want me to rate higher...do SOMETHING to your profile.



Make it an enjoyable, entertaining, enlightening read. Add a pic or two. Play me your favourite song. Let me know SOMETHING that gives me an idea of who you are/how your mind works.



I rate on how much I feel you conveyed in your introduction to ME. As in any other introduction: if you invite me to fuck off if I don't like the fact that you're a junkie, a slut, bisexual, gay, an EMO, a juggalo, etc.... I will take your advice and fuck off your page.....but....not before rating it by what it conveyed about YOU. See...the power of one is all about YOU :)

I too think I have found a new friend -one of the things I absolutely love about this site- a Canadian transplanted to America becomes frineds with an American transplanted to Canada....



And the beat goes on.....
