I've really be gone from here for a while and there's a reason for that. I didn't just take a break from VR, I took a break from technology as a whole. Back in 2017 I was diagnosed with hypoxia and I've been on oxygen since. This summer shit really hit the fan when I was admitted to the hospital because my roomie found me passed out in the hallway with way too blue lips and finger nails. Turns out that the hypoxia had gotten a lot worse very fast.
Thankfully, I was in Tufts Medical Center in downtown Boston, MA (USA) where they have some of the best pulmonary doctors in the entire country. I spent 21 days in the hospital and got to experience loads of different tests. They did a ... v/o test which involved using a machine and nuclear medicine research or something to scan my entire torso. That was really the only "cool" part about this.
Anyway, a few months later now, we've finally figured out that I need a lung transplant to fix the hypoxia. I can't even begin to spell or say the multiple diagnosis they have given me. At least I'm starting to sea a light at the end of the tunnel with my upcoming transplant assessment.
I just hope that light in this dark tunnel isn't an oncoming train!
