I often wonder when students enter the massage therapy program I am teaching if they think all they are going learn is how to rub their hands on a client. There is more to it than that. Before you even begin to work on a client, you have to understand how the body works, especially the Muscular and Skeletal systems. There are pathologies involved with the body one must understand because one wrong move will do more harm than good to a client.
I started out with 22 students, I'm now down to 14, and about to lose another student. Midterms are next month and I may see more drop. I pray they don't. They only need a 75% to pass their courses.
