I looks like things are turning around busyness wise.
I got Gina's car back together today so no more working with only one car.
Things are busy elsewhere, but at least we won't be driving each other in different direstions, trying to get where we have to go, and get David where HE has to go.
Hopefully I'll be able to be on VR as much as I like!
Just friggin busy.
Having one car now means we are both twice as busy.
Work has been nuts, Dave has been needing rides here and there, Gina's been busy as well, she had to pull triple duty with the lady she takes to dialysis....Had an Elder's meeting at church and we have to have another one Tuesday to see if we can afford to call an Associate Pastor.
Had a band concert today at a VA Home..Sad place.
I have a lot to say, but no time to say it.
I promise I'll be back by to catch up.
Sorry all for being so scattered.

It gets to the best of us at times... V.R. will still be here when you get back K :)
I can so relate, sugar- since Scott got his new job, we at least have the perk of there being a sky train station close to the house AND to work, but he whines if it is cold...lol
So if I need the car for work later, or other stuff, I have to get up at 6 am to take him to work, and for someone who works nights -
THAT SUCKS
Each morning I walk our little dog Ewok.
I take this time to observe and contemplate as she excitedly explores the neighborhood.
I often see something that elicits a long chain of thoughts…Even though the chain of thoughts last but an instant, they sometimes linger and cause me to ponder them the rest of the day.
This morning I glanced down and saw a single Maple Leaf, laid perfectly flat against the sidewalk.
The Maple Leaf triggered the following thoughts:
Memories of Spring, when the new leaves start their growth, bursting from their buds.
The Summer, when the tree provides cooling shade, a home for birds and those little whirly-gig seed pods.
And now Autumn, as the tree sheds it’s leaves and they fall to the ground, there they lay until they are raked and gathered….The energy they collected from the Sun all summer now turned into compost…Soil to give nutrition to next Spring’s new growth.
The impending winter, the barren tree standing against the icy wind and the burden of snow.
Maple Syrup. Early spring days in New England where the Maple tree’s sap is boiled to produce the delicious, rich, sweet addition to our breakfast.
Canada – A country which has chosen the humble Maple Leaf as it’s symbol. I wonder if those who chose it considered all which was rushing through my mind when they proposed it as their nation’s symbol.
Hockey – Those Toronto Maple Leaves always give my Flyers a good fight.
It’s amazing to me that all these thoughts can be triggered by a quick glance at the ground while walking the dog. I wonder if she ponders such things…I think not…From her actions this morning I can only surmise her thoughts were as follows…LOOK A SQUIRREL…I WANT TO CATCH THE SQUIRREL AND SMELL IT”S BUTT..CAN I GO SEE THE SQUIRREL DAD?

You had me till you wrote the dog wanted to smell the squirrel's butt. lol
Arlo was AMAZING last night.
The concert was made even better as David Bromberg showed up and sat in with the band. He is a remarkable guitar talent.
Arlo sang many of his old standards, City of New Orleans, Coming into Los Angeles, Motorcycle Pickle song, My Darkest Hour, some new stuff from an album that's being released soon, and a buch of previously unperformed stuff from his dad.
It was an awesome night, perhaps the best performance I have seen him do....And I've seen him about 20 times.
So Gina and I are taking a nostalgic trip back in time tonight.
We are going to see Arlo Guthrie in concert tonight. I have been a fan of his since my High School days "Way back when". I have seen him about 10 times in the past...Including once at a theater where I worked security for a summer and got to hang out with him drinking a few cold beers backstage.
Kind of wierd going from Meadieliv Baebs and Zombie Girl last weekend to Arlo this weekend.
We have three Heathers who we are friends with.
This leads to much confusion between Gina and I.
Two of the Heathers live within 4 blocks of us, the other in the next State.
Two Heathers are witches, the other is not. We know one from VR (You may know her too), one Gina knows from her club and the Third is the Secretary at David's School.
One Heather is Married, One is a Lesbian in a commited relationship and one is "unattached" at the moment.
We get into odd converstations at our house:
DAG: I saw Heather today, she looks Great.
KCRC: Lesbian Heather?
DAG: No...Witch Heather?
KCRC: Oh...OK.
Gina will be on the computer....
DAG: Heather says "Hi"!
KCRC: VR Heather?
DAG: No...Lesbian Heather!
So, yo see we need to add an adjective to "Heather", so we know what Heather we are talking about!
If you are a Heather and what to be our friend...That's OK....But PLEASE, come with your own adjective!

OMG I SO understand this. I had 3 Jen friends in Seattle...
Our convos were like this:
I talked to "crazy"Jen today
So sporty Jen wants to do dinner
Ska Jen is going to be singing tomorrow..
And some people thought we were just being mean :P
Witch Heather / which Heather ... that sounds like an argument waiting to happen LOL
We had a great time at the latest edition of Dracula's Ball in Philadelphia.
The event was sold out and it was WAY crowded, which cut down our dancing as we hate getting smooshed into people on the danc floor.
We met up with Faeriemoon again, who was on the arm of the mysterious Tuxedoed Vampire (who dressed down for the event this time). And we also met Chiyo along with her boyfriend at the event. I must say a word about Chiyo. In the few messages we exchanged prior to the even I got the impression of a very shy and reserved person...OMG was I wrong...She is a hoot! (And cute as hell too!). So Fizbop, if you read this..She WAS there...So :P
The mysterious vampire managed to snap a shot of me with DAG and Faeriemoon. I consider myself very lucky to be pictured between such lovely ladies!

That's it! Next year I'm driving down :D that just looks like way too much fun!
You cut a rather Sharp Dressed Man look yourself. It looks like an amazing party.
I had a fabulous time! I think I may be a tad addicted and it has nothing to do with being escorted by a tuxedoed vampire...honest. *crosses fingers*
Gina, David, and you all looked great. So glad I got to see you guys again. Can't wait for next time!
To quote zz top..."Every Girls Crazy About A Sharp Dressed Man"
:D
Tux vamp had nothing on ya! I love the red vest. Two very lucky women as I see it.
:)
Me cute...nah! lol
Thank you sweety. See you on New Years!
I took the day off today to set up for halloween.
We have a cool "boiling" cauldron in our front yard.
A creepy skull head dude surrounded by tombstones.
And a spooky spider in webs on the front porch.
And of course some Jack O'Lanterns as well.
I am home manning the candy distribution. Gina is out at a Samhain ritual, but I did manage to snap a few photos of her in her robes before she left.
I hope everyone has a safe Halloween, or a Blessed Samhain...Or just a chillin' Friday Night...Whatever you celebrate!
